Ganyu (Blake Baskin) (born December 2, 2025) was an American football quarterback. She played college football for Florida (UF) and has declared her intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Blake "Ganyu" Baskin was born in Oxford, Ohio, on the grounds of Miami University. Ganyu's parents were reportedly very adament that their daughter be born in Miami, but could not afford the trip to the city in Florida. So, as native citizens to Ohio, Ganyu was brought into the world within the medical facility at the campus of Miami (OH). From an early age, the campus atmosphere never seemed to leave Ganyu, as she constantly aspired to becoming a professional Football player. Having a knack for accurate passes and being quick to learn the mechanics of passing, Ganyu would go on to play QB at all levels of schooling. Her goal all along would be to play so well, that she could have the chance to bring her family to the state they've always loved: Florida. This aspiration carried her all the way to a High School Championship in her senior year, where she would narrowly win. This game propelled her far into the spotlight, earning her scholarships from numerous amounts of teams, but most importantly, Florida teams. For some reason however, the one team to completely skip on her was the destination her family dreamed of most, Miami.

College career

As a freshman, Ganyu enrolled at the University of Florida after accepting an athletic scholarship the team offered her. She would be redshirted for her first year on the team, seeing the field on two different occasions to fill in for the starters in massive blowout wins. Upon her second year at the school, she was appointed the team's starting QB, now as a redshirt freshman. Ganyu finished her first season with the Florida Gators ranked in the top 10, and would go on to do so every year of her career with Florida. Ganyu was able to have a 4-0 bowl record, winning the Orange Bowl in her freshman year, the Duke's Mayo Bowl in her sophomore year, the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in her junior year, and her final and most notable bowl win of all - the "I Can't Believe It's not Butter!" Bowl in her senior year. She would also find herself finishing as a Heisman Runner-up each year of her career, finishing second out of four each time. Despite the Heisman losses however, Ganyu did manage to win a few QB awards, including the Manning Award in her Senior year.

At the end of her college career, Ganyu held a sudden press conference in which her new name was born. This press conference was seemingly a joke, as Ganyu would go on to tell everyone that "she is not Blake Baskin." There are many different rumors and theories as to what could have brought this on, but the general consensus is that she just really wanted to be called by her new nickname, Ganyu. She has continued to go by this name since the press conference.

Professional career

2048

Season 33 was the beginning of Ganyu's professional career in the DSFL, where she was drafted in the 4th round at pick 25 by the Bondi Beach Buccaneers. In what was a shocking move to the Football world, Ganyu announced the day after the draft that she had decided to switch to Lineback despite her highly successful college years at the Quarterback position. The Bondi Beach Buccaneers had drafted two QBs in the draft, thus one had to switch, and reportedly Ganyu had volunteered to be the one to switch.

Going into her first season, no one was sure how she or the team would do. Many of the fans had their concern with Ganyu's position swap and how she would adjust, but it seemed early on that she wasn't finding it too hard to make the position work. By midseason, Ganyu was leading the entire league in tackles and putting on what many were calling a potential Defensive Player of The Year run, but as her team started to slide, so did she. Ganyu went from league leader to 9th in overall tackling and ended up not being nominated for any awards or Pro Bowl consideration.

However, the potential was still there according to many, and that thought was proved when Ganyu would go on to be drafted in the 1st round at pick 4 by the New Orleans Secondline. The New Orleans Secondline have since sent her back to the DSFL to develop for at least one more year, but currently Ganyu is expected to be a centerpiece of the team and has been designated with a no-trade clause to show the commitment between both Ganyu and the team to the future success of the both of them.

2049

Season 34 was the second season of Ganyu's time with the Bondi Beach Buccaneers in the DSFL. After the draft the expectations for Ganyu were through the roof as many expected this to be her season, especially with the 1st round designation. During training camp, it was clear she had improved considerably in every major area and many fans were looking forward to an all-star season from the young talent. However, as the Buccaneers playoff hopes dwindled as the season went on, so did fan perception of Ganyu as a player. Putting up stats even worse than her rookie season, fans and media could not figure out what the problem was and why such a star player was under performing so heavily.

Thankfully on the other side of the coin, Ganyu was given the unique ability to help gameplan many of the schemes Bondi Beach ran during the season. Ganyu has also made herself a huge presence amongst the front office of Bondi, opting to help manage the team as both player and alumni. Media perception of Ganyu continued to be very conflicting as many weren't sure how to feel about a player being this big of a part of management while still being a player on the field, but it seems many can at least agree her impact off the field are a welcome addition.

At the conclusion of Season 34, Ganyu was informed by the New Orleans Secondline General Managers that she would be joining the team moving forward in Season 35, thus ending her time in Bondi Beach as a player.
