Gabriel Graves (born February 16, 2014) is an American football defensive end for the Free Agent of the National Simulation Football League (NSFL). He played college football for University of Texas and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.
Early years
Graves was born on February 16, 2014, in Austin, Texas to parents Gabrielle and George Graves. He has two younger siblings, Gennefer and Graham. Graves played high school football at Westlake High School in Austin, Texas where he played defensive end and tight end. In addition, he played basketball from his freshman to junior years.
Outside of football, Graves spent his time as the frontman for Austin, Texas based hardcore band Neutral Zone Infraction (stylised xNZIx). xNZIx had significant success in the local hardcore scene with songs including Sack The QB (Rip His Head Off) and Hail Mary, Hail Satan from their debut EP ENDXONE. Graves made the difficult decision to leave the band to follow his first love of professional football, but has been known to return to the stage with his old friends when they're in the area.
College career
Graves attended the University of Texas, where he played for the Texas Longhorns football team. He was redshirted as a freshman, but played all 13 games of his sophomore season, recording 25 tackles and 2 sacks. The following season saw Graves make significant improvements, starting all 13 games, recording 37 tackles and 6 sacks. As a senior, Graves recorded 42 tackles and 10 sacks, leading the Longhorns to a strong finish and establishing himself as a standout defensive prospect for the future.
