Erick Bolanos (born October 22, 1994) is an American football linebacker for the Tijuana Luchadores of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years
Erick Bolanos was born in Wichita, KS to his parents Bobby and Michelle Bolanos on October 22nd, 2023. Bolanos grew up with a love for the sport of football and particularly enjoyed watching the San Jose SaberCats. As a young boy, Erick showed a powerful left arm and was a tremendous baseball pitcher in addition to being one of the top quarterback recruits in the nation. Unfortunately, his days of throwing would soon be coming to an end. During his junior year in High School in the State Championship game for baseball, Bolanos smacked a go-ahead homerun 414 feet over the right field wall in the last inning. When he came and touched home plate, he and his teammate Tim Stanger attempted a jumping high five. However, since they were both so excited about the homerun, they were too aggressive on the high five, and as a result, shattered both of their elbows from the tremendous force. Bolanos was told that he would never be able to throw again. In order to keep his football dreams alive, he became a full time linebacker. Although he is still learning the position, Bolanos looks to be a promising linebacker one day.
College career

Bolanos signed to play football at Wichita State University during his senior year in high school. By the time he got on campus, he was still recovering from this elbow surgery and as a result, he redshirted his first year at the school. The following year as a redshirt freshman, Bolanos started every game for the Shockers with decent stats but nothing too notable. As a redshirt sophomore however is where Bolanos truly showed his talent. In the 12 games that they played that season, he recorded 114 tackles with 15 of them being for a loss. In addition, he got 10 sacks and forced 3 fumbles, all of which he recovered. As a result, he was named to be an All-American. He was nominated as a linebacker of the year award finalist as well, however he just missed winning the award by 4 votes. "
