Dumais Wells (born October 17, 2021) is an American football wide receiver for the Dallas Birddogs of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Born in Charleston South Carolina, Wells always had a love for baseball and football. While in middle school Wells caught a nasty respitory virus that forced him to miss 3 weeks of school. Bored his father gave him a copy of the Eye of the World and from there he became a massive fan of fantasy books. Many things had to be sacraficed in order for Wells to pursue his football passion, including baseball, but his love of fantasy books never ceased. When Wells began his high school career he started out primarily as a defensive player. But by his Sophomore year, Wells was being recruited as a Wide Receiver. Focusing on that full time Wells became known for his consistent hands and strong decision making. Eventually becoming one of the top recruits out of South Carolina. But unlike other South Carolina recruits, Dumais Wells had little interest in remaining in the state or the region frankly.

College career

Wells had offers from The University of South Carolina, NC State, Tulane, Southern Florida, and Mississippi State. But contrary to norms Wells decided to look outside of the region for college. In Particular he wanted to be on the West Coast or the North East. Programs were nervous to reach out but then Temple became very interested. At first Wells was beginning to think Temple might be his premiere choice, but then Oregon made a scholarship offer. It was an obvious choice. A big time program with lots of visiblity and located in a beautiful part of the country. After Red Shirting his freshman year, Wells became a starting receiver. He'd go on to dominate the Pac 12 for the next several years. In his time at Oregon he became one of the most prolific athletes in program history, which included a walk off overtime touchdown against Washington. Following his College Career he declared for the DSFL Draft.
