Dominos Pizzaman (born May 13, 2000) was an American football defensive tackle. He played college football for Papa John's University (PJU).

Early years

Dominos Pizzaman started playing football around the age of 16- a natural, being that his father, Robert Pizzaman, was an Arena Football legend in the mid 2000’s playing for the Tampa Bay Storm in their hayday. Dominos played his high school ball at PH Prep where he lead the team to 3 straight 3A championships but unfortunately they lost all three. He was selected to several all-star games and played well in his senior year, gaining the attention from many teams. In his high scool career he was a two way player, OL and DT and racked up a state record 350 tackles and 50 sacks over his four years. Heavily scouted from all the top Division 1 teams, Dominos ended up commiting to at Louisville’s Landmark- Papa Johns U. Dominos credits the cafeteria, the business school, and coach Rock McDonald for his choice. Many were surprised considerig he had interest from LSU, Florida State, and Florida- but to each his own.

College career

Dominos saw little playing time his first season and decided to redshirt his sophomore year. After getting the starting slot, Dominos was a solid trench guy for his remaining seasons for the Hens. He ended up coming second in school history in sacks 32 and 3rd in tackles with 222. He made first team All-Conference his junior and Senior year, but as you all know the PJU team had sub-500 records in the weak Big 9 conference so he never saw the bowl stage. This significantly impacted his chances to be professionally scouted, and Dominos kind of fell off the radar, this really damaged Domino's chances to make it to the DSFL. On the education side, Dominos finished with a 2.7 GPA and graduated with a BA in supply chain management focusing in restaurant and groccery distribution. Both his parents were very proud and Dominos thought that his dream of playing as a pro were washed away.

DSFL career

After college Dominos started working his father in the Tupperware manufacturing industry, but everyday he dreamt of making it to the big stage. On a hot day in mid-july Pizzaman quit his job and started training to be a DT, he worked out with Brian Mills of NOLA’s Secondline and worked tirelessly, losing 50 pounds and putting on muscle to get back into football shape. That was the easy part for Dominos, now he had to get on the scouting radar- I order to do this, he did something spectacular- at a party with him and some of his college alumni he managed to carry 100 full pizza pies (approx. 325 lbs) and the photo went viral. Struggling teams were tagged in the photo and he was contacted by a few to see him in person, as a joke of course, but to the surprise of many he was a man with a plan.

Dominos Pizzaman would have a let down year for his personal achievement, showing career lows in all stat categories. However, his impact was still amazing on the field. His disruption on the defensive line allowed young stars such as Raphael McTurtle, Will Stern, and Leonardo McTurtle to have successful seasons. Pizzaman was also a key portion of the increased play in the Orange County secondary helping to rush the quarterback and shutdown the opponent run. The Otters had their first playoff berth in eighth seasons but eventually fell short of winning yet another Ultimus as they were defeated in the fourth quarter from a very successful Baltimore Hawks team. Pizzaman was approached by his coaches at the end of the season with the opportunity to drop some weight and start a new role as a linebacker for the Otters at the start of season 34 as they look to make another deep playoff run.
