Devaunte Andrew Sackpieder (born October 4, 2014) is an American football linebacker for the Free Agent of the National Simulation Football League (NSFL).

Early years

Growing up Devaunte moved across many different states and school with his mother and sister. When he turned 10 they moved to Florida. It was here that Dev found his love of football. His first year playing in a youth football program, the Pensacola Youth Football League (PYFL), his team of 17 with 12 1st time football players (the smallest by far in all the programs) went on to 3rd in the state. When Dev was 13 his mother met his step-father. His step-father was a big part of Dev's life, as he was his dad in everyway but blood. However, the day before Dev's 18th birthay, his step-father passed away from a rare medical condition. Dev's team would fall short in the state championship, but it was the farthest our team had been in 30 some odd years. Even after his death Devaunte's step-father still continues to help guide him.

College career

During his freshman year Devaunte would suffer a knee injury in his 2nd game, which would limit his playing time for most of the year until the final few games of the season. Even in limited playing time and only starting 4 total games, Devaunte would accumulate 7 sacks to go with 19 tackles and 6 TFL. His sophmore season, Devaunte entered with high expectations and he didn't dissapoint. He lead a stout Seminoles defense with 39 tackles, 14.5 TFL and 10.5 sacks, along with 2 FF, 1 FR, 2 INTs, 1 safety and 1 defensive TD which came over in-state rival Miami. His incredible play would earn him a spot on the All-American team as only a sophmore. During his junior season, Devaunte continued his level of stellar play, leading the ACC with 18.5 TFL and 13.5 sacks, as well as having 40 total tackles, 5 FF, 2 FR, and 1 INT. He was named an All-American for the 2nd time in his collegiate career that season.
