Deonte Washington (born June 17, 2016) is an American football wide receiver for the Kansas City Coyotes of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years
Deonte Washington was born in South Chicago on June 17th, 2015. He was the oldest of 3 siblings. His father died when he was 9 years old and he has said that this led him partially to pursue football. At Wendell Phillips Academy, Washington was a star, starting 4 years in varsity and being named all-conference in 3 of those years. In his senior year, he was named all-state, finishing with 1900 receiving yards and 17 TDs. As a 5 star recruit and the #2 wideout in the country, Washington opted to stay home and go to local college Northwestern University.

College career
Northwestern desperately needed talent and true freshman Deonte Washington was immediately their #2 wide receiver. He debuted against Iowa with 7 receptions for 113 yards and a TD. He kept up this torrid pace for the first 4 games of the season before an awkward hit in the 5th game against Ohio State sidelined Washington for the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Washington decided to return for his sophomore season to improve his DSFL draft stock. This ended up being a good idea. Deonte Washington won Big 10 WR of the year, finishing with a total of 1574 yards and 11 TDs. He also finished 2nd in Biletnikoff Award voting, losing out to Florida's Tychondrius Hood in a very close vote. After his sophomore season, Washington declared for the DSFL draft.
