Career highlights and awards

Dean Jackson (born February 28, 1995) was an American football Kicker/Punter for the Arizona Outlaws of the National Simulation Football League (NSFL). He played college football for the Rice Owls before entering the professional ranks in 2020. Dean Jackson was awarded for several prolific achievements during his career, earning himself a place in the NSFL Hall of Fame.

College career

Dean Jackson attended Rice University and played on the Rice Owls football team as a kicker/punter. He represented his team in the 2018 Texas Bowl and finished his senior year with a 96.3 XP% and 72.3 FG% before moving on to the NSFL.

Professional career

Dean Jackson was drafted fifth overall by the Arizona Outlaws in the first round of the 2020 National Simulation Football League draft. He proved to be a very reliable kicker and performed consistently well in his 11 seasons with the team. Jackson made 6 appearances in the NSFL Pro Bowl and earned the Kicker of the Year Award in 2021. He was particularly proficient in punting and, in 2030, broke the record for most career punting yards, earning a total of 46,116 yards. Even as he neared the end of his career, Jackson continued to perform well, maintaining an average 100 XP% and 92.9 FG% in his final two seasons before retirement.

Despite his successful track record, Jackson did not win the Ultimus Championship title at any point during his career. This could be attributed in part to an era of transition for the Outlaws, as they worked to find a suitable General Manager to replace Bogdan Podarok, who previously led the team to four straight playoff appearances and three Ultimus titles.

Much to Jackson's dismay, the Outlaws had a breakout year shortly after his retirement in 2031 and won their fourth Ultimus Championship.
