Crowbar Lunchbox Theeks (born March 14, 2016) is an American football runningback who has just announced his intentions of joining the NSFL. He played college football for the University of Texas, where he was one of the school's all time greats. After his junior year at Texas he decided it was time to join the professional football ranks and chose to do so in the EFL. After a few seasons in the EFL, Theeks abruptly retired from football. Crowbar Theeks will enter the 2038 DSFL Draft (S23).

Early years

Growing up, Crowbar was a multi-sport athlete playing soccer, baseball, and football, but the summer before his freshman year of high school his father had a serious sit down with him and told him he needed to choose one sport and stick with it. This was somewhat hard for Theeks as he loved all the sports he played, but also knew that if he was going to grab a scholarship he needed to choose one excel at it and he ultimately chose football.

Up until high school Theeks never really had a position he played and in fact had played every position except offensive line. While all the kids were talking to each other, deciding on what position they wanted to go out for, Theeks found himself in a group of guys that all wanted to play linebacker so he figured he'd go out for that as well. Even though he was the smallest guy out there for the linebackers, his speed, nose for the ball, and willingness to put his body at the point of attack despite his size showed the coaches all they needed to know about him. Crowbar would go on to play a backup role his freshman year, but still managed to get significant play time, mostly as a special teams player; another place he excelled. Come his sophomore year he would end up beating out the other players for the starting linebacker spot. Unfortunately for him though the teams he played on weren't too good and he went largely unnoticed. The school would then go through a coaching change and this would alter the direction of Crowbar's career significantly.

The first thing the new coach did when he came in was have a 1-on-1 with every player, talk to them about football and put each player through an individualized workout and figure out where they were best suited. At the end of his 1-on-1 with Theeks, the coach told him bluntly that he had a ton of talent, but would never be seen as a linebacker. Coach told Theeks he had good speed and explosiveness and wanted him to play running back. This would still allow Theeks to hit other players, just in a different way. He told coach he'd have to think about it. It didn't take long and he agreed the next day to carry the rock.

Crowbar would come into his junior year as the starting running back and the lead back in a run heavy offense. Needless to say Theeks' true talents were finally on display and NOW people were taking notice. Scholarships were starting to come in and coaches from colleges all over were showing up at games, even though as mentioned before his team wasn't that great. Crowbar would have an ok year rushing for 853 yards on a 4.2 yards per carry average and rack up 116 additional receiving yards and 10 total touchdowns. His senior year would be the explosion to his career and be the boost needed to get him to those big power schools. As the team would continue to struggle and win only 4 games his final year, the offense still ran through him. He would cap off his career with an impressive final high school game where he'd rush it 34 times for 146 yards and catch 8 passes or 66 yards and 5 total touchdowns.

With an impressive final two high school years and colleges calling from all over you'd figure that he'd be a lock for a scholarship at a nationally ranked school right? Unfortunately Crowbar suffered a death in his immediate family and that took a bit of a toll on him and as he told schools he needed some time away from football a lot of the offers he had received were pulled. Theeks finally announced his readiness to come back to football, but now most schools had their scholarships filled. Fortunately there was one ready to get him on campus. That brings us to today as Crowbar officially signed his scholarship agreement and will be headed to join the Longhorns!

College career

Early on Crowbar really didn't see much time on the field and he'd be lying to you if he said it was hard sitting on the sideline not being in on a lot of plays, but likewise if you asked him today he'd probably tell you it was the best thing that could have ever happened to him as he got to sit behind Reginald Sharkstrong and learn just what it meant to be a the top dog in the Texas run game. Not everyone gets to sit back and learn from someone of his caliber and he soaked it all in.

As week 6 came the Longhorns were on a bye week, but Theeks continued to work. He figured that the only way he was going to see more time is to prove he's ready. Once the bye week came and went and games started again Theeks saw his number called a little more, partly due to the Longhorns doing so well. Theeks though would find himself being put in in key situations close to the goal line and he just had a nose for the endzone. If he was close, he was going to find it. This started earning him a reputation of being the Touchdown Vulture and from then on that season everyone looked to see if he would do it again!

At the end of the day though Theeks was grateful to the University of Texas and always wanted to give it his all and be the best teammate he could. He was always jumping up and down being the biggest cheerleader for his teammates and ready and willing to go in and play special teams if needed. From starting out as just another number on the sideline that nobody knew to becoming somewhat of a folk tale, it was all in all the best first taste of college that he could have asked for.
