Chip Otle (born December 4, 2014) is an American football defensive end for the Kansas City Coyotes of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL). He played college football for Michigan (MU) before being drafted by the San Jose Sabercats in the 2036 ISFL Draft (S21). Prior to this, he had been drafted by the Kansas City Coyotes in the 2035 DSFL Draft (S20).


Early years

Chip Otle was born in Farmingdale NY where he was raised by his mother Stacy and his father Frank. Chip Otle has two brothers, one older and one younger. Growing up, Chip went to Catholic school where he was a all state two way player for his High School. Chip Otle was the captain of top rated defense in NY state and 25th in the country. Chip Otle lead St. Anthony's to 4 straight New York Titles, and was a 4 time All Defensive player of the year. His best season came his Junior year where he record 14 sacks, 2 interception, 3 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery and 1 touchdown. Chip Otle finished his High School career with 150 tackles, 32 sacks, 4 interceptions and 4 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recovery. That summer he committed to his dream school Michigan where he would play three seasons under Jim Harbaugh.



College career

A five star recruit out of NY Chip Otle wasn't a starter his freshman but still made a big impact on the defense side of the ball. He record 30 tackles, and pick up his first career collegiate sack against OSU on November 15th. Chip Otle took over as a full time starter his Sophomore year and never looked back. Ending his second year at Michigan as the team sack leader with 7.5 on the year, to go along 40 tackles. Chip Otle earned First Team all Defense for the Big 10 as he helped Michigan to another Big 10 title. Chip Otle and the Wolverines fell short of the National Championship losing to Clemson 36-20. Chip Otle took the NCAA by storm when he broke the Michigan sack record with 12.5 his Junior year leading Michigan to back to back Big 10 championships, but again the Wolverines fell short of the ultimate goal, this time losing to LSU 27-21. Chip Otle finished his College career with 30 finishing just 6 behind the all time leader.

Professional career

DSFL career

Chip Otle was drafted in the 6th round 31st overall in the DSFL draft by the Kansas City Coyotes. Chip Otle started in all 14 games for the Coyotes, and was able to compile 40 tackles on the year which was the 6th highest on his team, 13 of them for a lose which lead the Coyotes. Chip Otle was also tied for the team lead in sacks with 7. Chip Otle had his best game of the year in week 13 vs the Minnesota Grey Ducks where he picked up 8 of his tackles, 4 being for loses and a sack. Chip Otle's 8 tackles in week 13 was a season high for him, which he was able to achieve 1 other time. Chip Otle's 13 Tackles for Loses were good enough for 8th in the entire DSFL, and his 7 sacks put him at 11th. Chip Otle helped lead the Coyotes to a 5-9 record on the year, but they came up short when it came to the ultimate goal as they fell to the Grey Ducks in the first round of the playoffs.

Chip Otle was drafted in the 3rd round 22nd overall in the NSFL draft by the San Jose Sabercats. Chip Otle will start the season 21 year back in the DSFL as a member of the Kansas City Coyotes. Chip Otle will look to improve his game and also help lead the Coyotes back to the playoffs and hopefully achieve the ultimate goal which is a championship win.
