Early years

Chevvy Bronko was born in Dover, NH to Steve and Shelley Bronko. Chevvy was named after his grandfather a former collegiate all-American wrestler. Steve a highschool football coach exposed his son to the game at a young age. Shelley in her own right was a track star in college. Chevvy attended Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Highschool in Dover where he was a three-sport athlete competing in football, baseball, and wrestling. He was all-state in both football and baseball. Chevvy a pure athlete was also able to letter in wrestling. During his four years at Aquinas, he was able to set school records in both receiving and rushing yards as a tight end and full back respectively. In his senior year, he set the state record for most receiving touchdowns by a tight end with 18 in a single season. Chevvy received scholarship offers from several big-name schools ultimately deciding on Penn State.

College career

Chevvy Attended Penn State University and was a four-year starter. In his collegiate career, he racked up two thousand six hundred and ninety-seven receiving yards with twenty-four receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. He was a one-time first-team all-American in his senior season and a one-time freshman all-American. His senior season is where he really shined with twelve of his twenty-four receiving touchdowns and one thousand of his receiving yards coming in that season alone. Penn State was able to win a national championship in Bronko's sophomore season but failed to even repeat that success for the rest of his tenure. The school did play in the Outback Bowl in his senior year and Bronko had three catches for forty yards and a touchdown in a losing effort against a stacked Boston College squad. Overall Bronko was able to set a single-season freshman mark for tight ends with 569 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns. Chevvy declared for the draft shortly after his senior season concluded.
