Cedric Wilkins II (born November 22, 2023) was an American football cornerback. He played college football for University of Alabama before going undrafted in the 2046 ISFL Draft (S31).

Early years

Cedric Wilkins II was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to father Cedric Wilkins, a trash collector, and mother Luanne Wilkins, a stay-at-home parent. He was raised just outside the city limits, and even from a young age, it was clear he was meant to be an athlete. His father, himself a veteran of the gridiron until a gruesome injury derailed his career at Baton Rouge Community College, gently guided his son towards football, and the junior Wilkins rapidly developed into a promising talent for his local high school, Zachary High School. Wilkins' freak athletic ability turned the heads of countless college scouts, and he would soon find himself being recruited by programs across the NCAA, and especially the SEC, including his homestate Louisiana State University. Wilkins would, much to his family's dismay, eventually elect to attend the University of Alabama following a heavy recruitment push by head coach Nick Saban himself.

College career

Wilkins red-shirted his true freshman season for the Crimson Tide; although he nearly elected to spend a season at his father's alma mater, BRCC, Coach Saban advised him against burning the season of eligibility. Instead, Wilkins would spend the season improving his return talents; although officially listed on the roster as a cornerback, he had been recruited largely for his natural speed and agility, and Coach Saban wanted to see him carve out a niche as a return specialist for the Crimson Tide. Wilkins would make his debut as a returner the opening game of his sophomore season, the same day as the passing of his late father. Wilkins would score two touchdowns in his debut, and finished the season with thirteen return touchdowns and an interception return touchdown after making a successful push for playing time on the elite Crimson Tide defense. He would add eight return touchdowns and two interception return touchdowns to that total in his redshirt sophomore season before deciding to declare for the Developmental Simulation Football League Draft.
