Bernd D. Brot (born December 1, 2026) is an American football quarterback who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Bernd was brought up in Kika, Germany. Hes always had the hugest of hands and caught immediate attention by QB trainers, and obviously John Elway. Even tho from Germany, and still in Middle School, Elway had his hands out all across the globe looking for QB Prospects with Huge hands. Thats why Brot got taken under the wings of Elway from a very early age on. He guided him all the way through High School and College, mainly making sure Bernd eats enough vegetables so he can grow them hands (well and his body because u gotta be atleast 6'5 to be a QB as we all know. Bernd made it through High School with immense pressure on him, given that theres no High School american football in germany, but he made it through youth programms in football in germany as the #1 prospect heading into college. His hands were already larger than any hands John Elway had ever seen at this point.

College career

Even as a true freshman, Bernd started already, mainly due to colleges in germany not really having many players, but also due to pressure from his mentor John Elway. In College everything changed for Bernd, when his excessive diet of bread (which, presumably pushed by Elway was supposed to grow his hands even further) eventually turned him into a piece of bread all together. Coming into his second year of college, Bernd was already touted as one of the highest ranking prospects heading into the DSFL S31 draft, however Brot did not declare for the draft, citing his love for being a student. He was studying biology (which some say was in hope of figuring out a cure to turn him back into a human) and obtained a Bachelors degree in Yeast related Biology before finally declaring for the S32 DSFL draft, as one of the best prospects to ever come out of Germany. John Elway to this day does not comment on Bernds change to a piece of bread, and denies any wrongdoings in growing Brot's hands and the subsequent change into a piece of bread.

Professional Career

DSFL

Season31

So Bernd D. Brot got drafted in the S31 DSFL draft to the Bondi Beach Buccaneers where he unfortunately only managed to sneak into the role of Backup Quarterback, getting very sparse playing time. He was supposed to be mainly an option in the run game for the Bondi Beach Buccaneers, however he barely got to run the ball, only recording a couple of runs stretched out across the entire season. Upon this Bernd swore to himself to never ever be put into the situation of being a backup again, hence why he decided to switch positions, becoming a wide receiver heading into the ISFL season 32 draft. Many expected his draft stock to tank due to the position switch really close to the draft after not being able to show off much due to his lack of playing time in the DSFL. However, his athletic abilities obviously still remained with him and many coaches already have seen him in a more active role in the offense.

ISFL

Season32

Bernd D. Brot finally got drafted in the ISFL Season 32 draft at pick 14, still managing, although barely, to sneak into being a Day1 draft choice. Many attribute him sneaking into round 1 due to his strong combine, because while he may be raw in his wide receiver abilities due to the switch, coaches and scouts saw potential in this athleticism. He went to Yellowknife, the wraiths picking him up with their second first round pick. Bernd managed to secure a role as WR3 in his very first season in the big league, managing to put up respectable numbers and making the coaches happy. He signed a pretty substantial front loaded contract, that saw him earn a whopping 5m in his very first year in the pros. Bernd allegeldy thought he was getting paid better than anyone else in the draft, however he failed to realize he was getting less moeny in the later seasons of his contract

Season33

After posting up pretty respectable numbers in his rookie season, Bernd was promoted to being the WR2 in only his second year playing for the Wraiths. This seemed to work out quite well for the wraiths overall, with Bernd earning both nominations for Wide receiver of the year and offensive breakout player of the year. In interviews, Bernd appears to be really happy with his current role in the yellowknife wraiths offense, and hope to continue leading the WR corp into future seasons. He also just recently has signed a huge new contract, binding Bernd another 3 years to the wraiths upon completion of his rookie contract. With this new found money, Bernd reportedly purchased the biggest mansion available in yellowknife, which to be fair is still really freaking small because its yellowknife, and was throwing major house parties where everyone on the squad was invited to. reports say however, that kai sakura was nowhere to be seen at these parties, it is unclear whether he was not invited or didnt want to show up

Season34

Season 34 started out kinda rough for Bernd d. brot. despite being thrown into that WR1 spot since the beginning of the season, and being accompanied by 3 veteran wide receivers in kai sakura, mark waller, and kilian chambers, bernd couldnt really continue his stride of his previous season early on. However in the course of the season this changed, and bernd basically could replicate his success from the previous season. The stinging issue that remained throughout the entire season however, was a clear lack of redzone touchdowns. almost the entirety of bernd d brots touchdowns came from long run and catches, with almost zero redzone touchdowns, which made him miss out on another wide receiver of the year nomination this season, despite finishing second in total yards in the league. Going into season 35, loaded up with a new contract, bernd will try to build upon his still solid season the next year, with an even better dustin parmalee as quarterback

Season35

This season started out quite rocky for bernd the bread, with a very slow start to the season by Bernd D. Brot. The Yellowknife wraiths were quite run heavy, which left alot to be wished for by bernd at the start of the season. The decision to be more run heavy heading into season 35 most likely came due to the lack of talent around Brot, until the late season pickup of troy abed. Despite the slow start to the season, Bernd picked up himself by the bootstraps and proved once again that he is the one of the top wide receivers in the entire league. Bernd had previously voiced his disapproval of the run heavy team setup, trying to make the point that their wr+qb tandem is one of the strongest the league had ever seen. Heading into season 36 bernd and his quarterback dustin parmalee are looking to crush this seasons competition and put up increasingly good numbers once again.

Season36

Season 36 started out quite similarly to season 35 for bernd d. brot, he was the clear #1 wide receiver heading into the season once again, and he was out to prove himself after a disappointing previous season, where he couldnt even manage to get into the pro bowl. However, this season also seemed to get away from bernd, as he had a bunch of games of struggling real hard, a long streak of getting 30-40 yards a game, however he also made up for those lackluster games with some real strong performances. However, this decent performance only managed to get bernd d. brot into the 4th spot in receiving yards in the season. He tried to make up for it with a real good average yards per reception stat, however he wasnt leading in that regard either. Bernd also had his first real strong showing as a kick returner in this season.
