Arnie Rufus (born February 6, 2024) was an American football [[wp:Defensive Tackle|defensive tackle]. He played college football for Oregon (OU).

Early years

Arnie Rufus was born into a simple family of banana farmers. His mother (Kalini) and father (Asuelu) did their best to make sure Arnie and his brothers and sisters were well taken care of and didn't have to live the same life as them. Arnie took a liking to sports as soon as he could pickup a baseball. He played youth baseball from the time he was 5 years old but when he turned 10 he was allowed to join the youth football team. Arnie was an instant superstar among his teammates, he was larger than the other kids so he was able to win any line battle he was up against. When he was in high school he and his family were able to move to Hawaii which allowed Arnie to play against better competition. Arnie quickly caught the attention of recruiters around the nation with his physical play. As a standout Arnie was named to the 1st team all star squad all 4 years of high school.

College career

After a great high school showing it was finally time for Arnie to pick the school he would be playing for, he had offers from teams across the country but he wanted to stay as close to his family as possible. Eventually he narrowed his choices down to Hawaii, Oregon and USC. Arnie as well as his family all agreed that the best thing for his football future was to accept a scholarship from the Oregon Ducks. While at Oregon Arnie went through his growing pains, the drastic talent increase between Hawaii high school football and a PAC-12 school hit him instantly. His freshman year Arnie saw the field as a rotational player rather than a full time starter. Arnie had never been a backup and came back next season hungry to start. He earned his way to a starting position and helped Oregon win a much improved 9 games. His junior and senior years are identical, he was a starter, first team all American and was able to win defensive player of the year two years in a row.
