Apollo Lange (born November 8, 2006) is an American football quarterback who is currently awaiting assignment in the National Simulation Football League (X). He played college football for UCLA (UCLA) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season. He is the all-time leader in QBR for the UCLA bruins.

Early years

Lange was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on November 8th, 2006 to Theo and Christine Lange (née Greene). Lange was the starting quarterback beginning in his junior season for Cleveland High School in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. As a junior, Lange completed 89 of 140 passes for 2,392 yards with 10 touchdown passes and 1 interception. As a senior, he completed 198 of 244 passes for 3,431 with 22 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Lange's overall record as a starter in high school was 20-6. He is the all-time leader in offensive yards and touchdowns in New Mexico high school football history. A four-star recruit, Lange was ranked as the 3rd best dual-threat quarterback in his class.

College career

After redshirting in 2026, Lange was named the UCLA starting quarterback for the 2027 season due to an injury to former starting quarterback Jeremi Bell in the spring game. In his first start, Lange rushed for more yards (144) than he passed (129), but still lead the Bruins to a 20-14 win over Fresno State. After the game, Lange was officially named the starter above other backup quarterbacks and remained so. Lange ended the season with 2,928 yards passing, and additionally rushed for 729 yards. UCLA posted a 7-4 record and won the New Era Pinstripe Bowl over Nebraska, 31-20. Lange was named to the 2027 All-PAC-12 Second Team Offense.

In 2028, Lange continued his consecutive starts and led UCLA to an undefeated 8-0 start before falling to Colorado 14-7. UCLA ended 2028 with a record of 11-2, losing to Penn State in the Rose Bowl 44-27. Lange ended the season completing 73% of his passes, throwing for 3,782 yards and 29 touchdowns to only 8 interceptions. Additionally, Lange ran for 1,102 yards and 7 touchdowns. Many NSFL scouts considered Lange the most exciting quarterback prospect in the 2028 class, and Lange declared only after his sophomore season. He is the all time leader in quarterback rating for UCLA.
