Xavier Clayton Jones Frost was born in [[wp:Salem, NJ|Salem, New Jersey]], on April 10, 2021, as the youngest of five children to [[Lane Frost]] and Kimberly Frost. Xavier's father, Lane, was always away while being the head coach at many college programs and professional teams. Frost's brothers, [[Lane Frost II]], [[Kellan Frost]], [[Ryder Frost]], and [[Aiden Frost]] all played football. Lane II played football for the [[Minnesota Grey Ducks]] and [[Honolulu Hahalua]]. Kellan played for the [[Norfolk Seawolves]] and --. Ryder was tragically killed in a car crash in 2048. Aiden played for the [[Dallas Birddogs]] for two seasons. Frost attended [[wp:Salem High School (New Jersey)|Salem High School]]. As a senior, he returned 5 kicks and 5 punts for touchdowns and ran for 10 touchdowns.

On September 7, Frost made his debut for [[wp:2019 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team|Notre Dame]]. He rushed for 10 yards on 3 carries and had 4 catches for 35 yards and a receiving touchdown. Notre Dame would go on to beat [[wp:2019 Georgia Bulldogs football team|number 2 ranked, Georgia]]. On September 21, Frost returned a punt for 60 yards for a touchdown against [[wp:2019 Alabama Crimson Tide football team|Alabama]]. Notre Dame would upset [[wp:Nick Saban|Nick Saban]] and take down their number two-ranked team. Frost carried the ball 16 times for 98 yards and 2 touchdowns in a Notre Dame victory over [[wp:2020 USC Trojans football team|USC]]. On November 1, Frost returned a punt and a kickoff return for a touchdown in the same game, 78 yards, and 99 yards respectively. The Irish would go on to win the game with a late touchdown catch by Frost at the 2-yard line. On November 8, Frost would become the first player in NCAA history to return a punt for a touchdown in back-to-back games when he returned a punt for 67 yards against the [[wp:2020 Clemson Tigers football team|Clemson Tigers]]. Notre Dame would blow them out, 56–10. Frost was awarded the [[wp:Jet Award|Jet Award]] after returning a total of 4 kicks and punts for touchdowns during the season and having over 900 kick return yards and over 200 punt return yards. He rushed for a 4-yard and 6-yard score and he caught a 60-yard touchdown and a 12-yard touchdown pass. Frost also totaled 203 receiving yards and 54 rushing yards. On November 21, Frost passed the century mark for receptions with 101 after he caught 5 passes for 98 yards against the [[wp:2021 Marshall Thundering Herd football team|Marshall Thundering Herd]].
