Tyrone Woods (born April 14, 2000) is an American football linebacker for the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Tyrone Woods is an American football player. Born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona Woods played at Chaparral High School and was a varsity starter for four years. In those four years Chaparral would win three 6A State Championships during Woods' Sophomore through Senior year. On top of being a four year starter on the Varsity football team, Woods also played on Chaparral's basketball team and ran track as well as participating in shotput, both of which he played varsity. Woods had offers to play basketball at the next level as well as football, but ultimately made the decision to stick with what he believed he was best at, football. He played college football for the University of Washington, during that time he was awarded with All PAC-12 First team honors, PAC-12 Freshman of the Year, PAC-12 Second team honors and lastly, PAC-12 Defensive player of the Year. All of which occurred before declaring for the DSFL in 2037 as a waiver player. Woods is currently in the middle of his first season in the DSFL with the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers.

College career

Coming out of the University of Washington in 2036, Woods was a highly sought after prospect at the Middle Linebacker position. Having a great mix of speed in coverage as well as being able to step up and stop the run he has continued to gain comparisons to Tampa Bay Buccaneers MLB, Devin White. For Woods, this should be considered nothing less then an honor as White was selected with the 5th pick in the 2019 NFL draft by the Buccaneers. Although Woods has proven to be a phenomenal all-around threat on the gridiron, this was not always the case. During his Junior season at Washington, Woods along with two other teammates were caught hazing members of scout team on campus, past curfew. On top of that Woods was also found with 4 grams of marijuana, and was charged with posession, but would be released on bail. After these incidents Woods would miss the first quarter of his Junior campaign serving a suspension, however this did not stop him from staying on top of his game and having a killer season after all. During his time at UW along with many All PAC-12 honors, Woods and the Huskies would play in one College Football Playoff, as well as three additional "New Years 6" bowls, those being: The Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl and Peach Bowl.
