Tyrod Iverson (born July 23, 2027) is an American football defensive tackle for the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Tyrod Iverson was born in Hampton, when he was 3 his family moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia. Tyrod always loved sports, his first love was baseball. One day Tyrod picked up a football and never looked back. Tyrod's parents always pushed him to be the best player he could be. Tyrod became annoyed with his parents sometimes but now he's thankful they pushed him to be the player he is today. When Tyrod was 11 his dad bought season tickets to ODU football, going to the game with his dad was always the highlight of his week. In middle school Tyrod was shorter than most kids, he was the slot reciever on his team because he was so small. Once he got to high school he had a crazy growth spurt, as a freshman at high school he was 5'11. One day Tyrod learned that Percy Harvin went to the same high school as him! Tyrod told his dad and his dad said "one day some kid's gonna look at you the way you're lookin at him" Tyrod thought that was crazy. Tyrod was looking at some amazing college offers in his senior year of high school, he had offers from Clemson, Florida, and a few others. Sadly in just his second game he tore his ACL, many offers were pulled, but one of the ones that stayed was perfect for him.

College career

Tyrod was thrilled when he didn't lose an offer from his favorite college, Old Dominion University. He had sat in those stands so many times, but now it was his time to get on the field! Tyrod didn't get much play time his first two seasons, he was having real trouble getting back to 100% after his injury in high school. During this process of not playing much and his injury bothering him he started gaining weight. Tyrod was really upset about all the weight he had gained, but he had also grew four inches. Tyrod was 6'3 now, he had also put on a lot of weight. Tyrod wasn't quite ready to hit the field at the start of his Junior season, but in the second game of the seasos two of ODU's Defensive Tackles got injured. Tyrod saw the opportunity to use that weight he was so upset about gaining. Tyrod got in the weight room and by the fifth game he was the starting Defensive Tackle, that season he didn't do anything amazing but was a solid guy in the middle. His senior season was completely different, he had put on even more weight, this time was different though, he put on muscle, he was going to run offensive linemen over. That season he got 15 sacks and 16 TFLs, he also lead the defense to a victory in their bowl game in a defensive battle where the final score was 17-9. Tyrod decided to enter the draft after that year, he thought there was no point in going back for a fifth season after that amazing season.
