Rotticus Scott (born October 9, 1998) is an American football cornerback for the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL). He played college football for University of Maine (UMO) before being drafted by the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers in the 2035 DSFL Draft (S20).

Early years

"Born to two classified parents in Portland, Maine. Rotticus attended the Portland School System all the way up through his education. He took a great deal into making money at a young age, and his parents recall his dream job being ""getting paid"". Rotticus attended Portland High School in Portland, Maine. There he was a 4 year letterman, having a nearly undefeated season his senior year, before losing to the Thorton Academy Golden Trojans. Rotticus was not planning to play football after high school, but this heartbreaking defeat lit a fire under him, and he decided to finally listen to the college coaches breaking down his door. Rotticus' recruitment circuit was a wild affair, with just about every university in the New England region offering him a spot on their team. After seeing offers from Boston College, University of Massachussets, and University of Maine, he committed to the University of Maine as a finance major. "

College career

"Rotticus arrived in Orono as a hometown, highly touted recruit. He did not start his Freshman year, but saw rotations as a nickel corner. His sophomore season was for sure his break out, as he allowed just 200 yards to his matchups, revolutionizing Umaine's defense. His 6 picks, and 2 pick sixes started to wake up FBS coaches across the nation, with many of them asking him if he would be interested in joining their schools through the transfer portal. After back to back All-FCS Team nominations his sophomore and junior season, amassing 17 interceptions, and 2 touchdowns over those years, Rotticus had a big decision to make. The NSFL was calling his name, and there was a good chance he could skip the DSFL all together. Rotticus would return to Umaine after his junior year, forgoing the draft, and wanting to bring a championship to Orono. This decision would be a large roadblock for Rotticus, as a devestating dislocated knee injury would keep him on the sidelines, and put his professional football career in jeopardy before it even started. "

Professional career

Rotticus was drafted by the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers in round 14 of the DSFL draft. A small school player, it was quite hard for him to get his name out there to DSFL scouts. Upon joining the Buccaneers, he immediately coined the "No Fly Zone" nickname for Myrtle Beach's secondary. This would prove to be more true than Rotticus ever thought, as that season Myrtle Beach ended up playing good enough to statistically be the best defense in pro football history. Although Rotticus was log jammed behind Dax Frost and HEhateme Picksix, he ended up playing safety besides Warren Stephens and Jeffrey LaVert (Now Prince Vegeta). Although going 12-2 and reaching the ultimini, the loss to the Minnesota Grey Ducks in the championship game was a stab in the heart to Rotticus. With the fire still in his heart, Rotticus began "one of the most insane workout periods we've ever seen in the Sim Football League". Racking up a whopping 52 TPE in the offseason, spring boarding himself into top 20 contention, with some saying he might go in the 1st round. After being contacted by just about every team in the league during the draft process, Rotticus went into draft night with a lot of uncertainty. Some reports had him going in the 1st round, maybe even the top 5 picks, while some reports had him going in the 4th. On draft night, though, his name would be called by his top team, the Colorado Yeti. He would join Immanuel Blackstone, Red Arrow, Dixon Uraz, John Smirh, Alyx Sabor, Gronk Robertowski, and Andrew Nova in Colorado with a great rookie class.

After being drafted, Rotticus and the Yeti front office decided that the young corner would spend a 2nd year in the DSFL, as his lack of game time at corner in 2035 meant he was still extremely raw. Rotticus took no issue with this, as he still had unsettled business in Myrtle Beach, and wanted to go back and win an Ultimini with some of his former teammates. Myrtle Beach had yet another extremely strong draft class with the Season 22 draft, reloading for what looked to be another trip to the Ultimini. After finishing 9-5, and a big away win against the Tijuana Luchadores in the final game of the season, Myrtle Beach was back in the playoffs. This time, they'd have home field advantage throughout the entire bracket, and the Myrtle Beach fans were ravenous. The Buccaneers took down the Norfolk Seawolves in the SFC South championship by a score of 18-0, a classic Buccaneer no fly zone win. The ultimini teams were decided, The Kansas City Coyotes vs the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers. After 60 minutes, the Buccs would come out on top, winning 27-10. Rotticus had gone back to Myrtle Beach with one goal, winning the Ultimini, and he had done it. Post game, Rotticus announced to the media that he'd be called up in 2037 to play with the Colorado Yeti, thus ending his career in the DSFL and Myrtle Beach. This came with a heavy heart, as although the next level was always going to be his final goal, he was going to miss Myrtle Beach and the team that made him into a top prospect.

Upon arriving in Colorado, Rotti was immediately worked into the starting Colorado Yeti defense. Deemed "The Sacksquatches", due to the teams stout front 7, Rotti would join Louisiana Purchase, Pete Parker, and Thor Kirkby in the "No Fly Zone". As Rotti had played some safety in his first season for the Buccaneers in the DSFL, he'd play this year at the nickel back position, a sort of hybrid corner/safety/linebacker. Rotti wasn't immediately causing turnovers and causing havoc in the box, but when week 5 came around, he started coming into his own. 10 tackles, a pick six, and a forced fumble was the stat line in Rotti's breakout game, and he never looked back from there. He'd finish his rookie season with 87 tackles, two forced fumbles, eleven passes defensed, three interceptions, and a defensive touchdown. While his stats were stellar, the Yeti had sort of an up and down season. Starting the year off 5-0, they'd finish at just 8-5 going into the playoffs. In the wildcard game Rotti and the Yeti would take down the Sarasota Sailfish in their inaugural playoff appearance, winning 36-14. That was a nice playoff debut for Rotticus, but the next game would be the true test of the S22 Yeti. They were 1-1 against the Yellowknife Wraiths in S22, with neither game being particularly close. After sputtering during the season, the Yeti had lost home field advantage for the playoffs, meaning they'd have to travel to Yellowknife for the ASFC championship game. After 4 quarters, the Yeti had somehow pulled out the win, winning by just a point. This meant they were bound for the Ultimus, and would be taking on veterans of the big game in the Orange County Otters. In what was deemed "David vs Goliath", the Yeti were severe underdogs. Compared to the Us Olympic Hockey team in 1980, the Patriots agains the Rams in 2001, and many other lopsided games. That didn't matter come game time, though, as after being down a whopping 21-3, the Yeti would come back and win the first ultimus in team history. Rotti didn't put up any crazy stats in the playoffs, but when asked for comment, he said "I honestly think this is the best moment of my life. Going out there and defying the odds with my brothers, I don't know if anything will ever top this moment". During the Yeti's Ultimus parade, Rotticus pledged his long term allegiance to the Yeti, stating he wanted to play his entire career in Red and White.

Following up the Ultimus win, the Yeti brought back almost their entire starting roster, along with some bolstered young guns from the DSFL. Rotticus moved from the Nickel Back position to the team's #2 CB, joining Louisiana Purchase along the sideline, and leaving Thubba Bumper in the middle. The season got off to a tough start, with some tumultuous results, and some very mediocre numbers from Scott. Coming from the Ultimus winning S22, Rotticus was of course expecting to put up similar, outstanding numbers. This would just not end up being the case, as going into the playoffs Rotticus had notched just 1 interception, and 11 passes defensed. A fumble recovery and forced fumble sweetened things a bit, but the sophomore corner wanted more. Of course individual stats are not everything, as Colorado's defensive line and front 7 were absolutely dominant in terms of rushing the passer and converting stats, largely due to the air tight coverage provided by the Yeti "No Fly Zone". Colorado secured the 2 seed in the playoffs, and would end up taking on their archn-emesis for the first time in the playoffs in Rotticus' career, the Philadelphia Liberty. The game would be a close one, as the two often ended up providing instant classics every time they matched up. Colorado came out on top, and was ready to make another run at the ultimus. One team stood in their way, the Yellowknife Wraiths. The Wraiths would stand tall in Yellowknife, and ended up beating Colorado on their way to an Ultimus win.
