Throughout highschool Romulus played Soccer and Football and was recruited to attend college under scholarship for both sports. In football, Romulus started all 4 years of high school and led his team in tackles and forced fumbles for 3 consecutive years. Named team captain his Junior year, the team was defeated in the state championship. Senior year the team made it back to the championship, winning in a 37-2 route. Romulus was named to the 2nd team All-state team twice and 1st team once his senior year. Ultimately deciding on continuing his Football career, he was a 4 star recruit. Ultimately Romulus decided to stay in state to attend Purdue University following in his family's footsteps.
