Rich Cheddar Triplet (born October 14, 2016) is an American football cornerback that plays for the Tijuana Luchadores. He played college football for Minnesota State University Mankato (MNSU).

Early years

Rich Triplet was born in Minneapolis Minnesota to his parents Beth, a talented musician and his father Ron a humble wood worker. Growing up Rich always enjoyed watching football with his dad and mom, but he was different than most kids. Instead of scoring touchdowns he would rather score an interception. Rich was defensive minded from the start, even when playing peewee hockey he would rather check someone than try to score, that was just his mind set. Despite enjoying the game Rich did not start playing football until his freshman year of highschool, he was set to play linebacker from the onset due to his larger frame. Rich was a splash player yearly and was being scouted by the time he was a sophomore. Junior year Rich began making more and more splash plays on defense, his classmates began to call him Rich "Cheddar" In reference to the football video game having linebackers snag an interception on anything thrown over the middle. Rich had a nose for the football and the coaching staff new he was better suited as the back line defender than in the trenches, Rich was to play safety for the remainder of his junior year, getting an impressive 6 sacks, 13 TFL, 9 INTs, and 2 FF with 1 TD on the season, Rich's school would go on to win the state semi finals before losing in the championship game. Rich Triplet's senior year of high school had ups and downs for his football career, Rich was still to play safety due to his proficiency in running a zone defense, Rich would go on to have an impressive season similar to his last though due to playing back more his tackle stats were down. Rich ended the season with 3 Sacks, 9 TFL, and 12 INTs. Rich was being scouted by some of the Big10 schools, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota even Ohio showed interest. Alas Rich was also an 18 year old and 18 year olds are not the smartest. On New Years Eve Rich was charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, although not arrested many bigger colleges saw this as a red flag and pulled their scholarships from him right away. Though one school did not pull out and believe in second chances, Rich finished the school year and went on to graduate and attend MNSU Mankato

College career

A true freshman in 2034 Rich was not a huge impact but did make some splash plays for the Mavericks, while playing FS Rich was allowed a lot of freedom, but that came with a lot of mistakes which lead to big plays from opposing offenses. Rich was frustrated, coming from the high school teams he played the D2 schools was a big jump for him. Ending the season with 2 INTs off tips and only 30 tackles, Rich lost his starting spot and went on to play special teams. Rich states that this was the best thing that ever happened to him, as he went on to discuss with the coaching staff a change on position, Rich had an ideal frame to play the position and made the move to CB over the offseason, due to lack of depth Rich became a starter and had ups and downs, in one game he broke the school single game INT record, while in another he broke the single game record for touchdowns allowed by a CB. Rich had the potential but had to grasp it, with an off season of training Rich went on to have a prolific Junior year at the smaller school and racked up an impressive statline for the season, 4 TFLs, 1 Sack, 11 INTs, 1 FF, 2TDs and a blocked kick. Rich was riding high, but something was missing, a championship.Rich had thought of transferring to Ohio, due to the new offers they gave him which would be an easier way to the ISFL. Rich opted to stay in Mankato as his friends, girl friend and life had started there. Rich wanted to bring a championship to the Mavericks, Rich came up just short in the D2 semifinals, no fault of his own though as Rich nabbed 2 INTs, got in for a sack, 3 TFLs, and a forced fumble. The fumble was not recovered however and could have been the true tipping point of the game. Rich in on record as stating "I should have played both sides that game, all I wanted was to give this city what it deserves." Rich has always had that mindset of getting the city what it deserves, that is what he plans to do in the ISFL.
