Orion Jasper (born November 28, 2028) is an American football wide receiver who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for University of Texas-Arlington (UTA) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Orion Jasper was born early in the morning of November 28th, 2028. Growing up, both parents had been big fans of football, and would take every opportunity possible to go watch a game. When Jasper was finally old enough, he too would attend multiple games a year, and quickly fell in love with the sport. When he wasn't focusing on school, he spent time watching games. He was a very analytic child, and while he wasn't the most athletically fit, he was great at analyzing game footage and was soon known in his youth football league for being able to read defenses. Although his coaches wanted to use him as a quarterback, his lack of arm strength led him to want to play reciever, where he was able to diagnose zone or man and find open space often, making it easy for quarterbacks to find him with the ball. This led him to being a top wideout in the state, leading Ottawa Hills to their first ever state championship in his senior year.

College career

Coming out of high school, he wanted to focus on a dream of his: getting to space. He wanted to become an engineer and fell in love with the campus design at the University of Texas-Arlington. He would attend UTA despite it having no football program, but it was in the back of his mind for his entire freshman year. Near the end of the year he brought a proposal to the school board for how UTA could create and manage a football team, and after getting signatures from around campus of high school benchwarmers who wanted to continue playing, the board created the new Mavericks football program. IN their first year, they competed at the NAIA level, and finished 5-7, but had a bright spot when the team fought and managed to hand a loss to previously-undefeated Lindsey Wilson. Jasper was named the Player of the Year for the Mavericks and then lead his team to a Sooner Athletic Conference championship but lost in the NAIA national championship to Morningside. In his senior year, UTA made the jump to FCS level competition, joining the Southland conference. Jasper won the SoCon Player of the Year his final season by racking up over 1800 yards of recieving and 19 touchdowns, both SoCon records at the time. He was named an All-American despite the team's imperfect performance, and would go on to enter the DSFL draft.
