Nova Montagne (born April 6, 2030) is an American football quarterback who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. She played college football for Hawaii Pacific University and has declared her intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Nova Montagne is born in Orleans, France, where she enjoyed a happy childhood together with her two older sisters. Sport has always been a major topic in the Montagne household. Oldest sister Rebecca is the goaltender of the Winnipeg Aurora in the SHL and also plays Quarterback recreationally in the USFA for the Huntington Beach Voyagers. Middle sister Caitlin is a cornerback in the same league as becca, playing for the St. Louis Archers. Youngest of the three is Nova and she has always looked up to her two bigger sisters. As they have played together since they were young, Nova is used to playing against older competition, as she always had to fight her bigger sisters to get control of the ball. While playing together all happened in a friendly environment, it shows that the youngest would not want to give up the ball that easily. This has helped her grow into the person she is today.

College career

Becoming a Quarterback on a professional level was not possible if Nova stayed to play in France, so she had to move to the United States. However, she does like to have nice beaches and she felt, what better way to play for a university in Hawaii. So she applied to the Hawaii Pacific University where she got a scholarship to become the team's starting quarterback. In training, she definitely is known for her accurate throws and not crumbling under pressure. She set the records for most yards and most touchdown passes by a female quarterback for the school (but probably because she was the only one) as the team actually did not play that many teams due to all the lockdowns last year. Despite the lack of games, Montagne does feel that she has what it takes to make the next step in her career and join the DSFL.

Season 35

As a waiver pick up Nova Montagne got selected by the Minnesota Ducks, who wanted to look at the quarterbacks available in the next draft. As next to Montagne they also claimed Brock Landers Jr and Adrian St. Christmas, who had to battle with current starter Owen Farrell for playtime. With the limited playtime on her hands, she ended the season as the only quarterback in the DSFL without an interception. Despite the limited playtime, she was happy to get her first touch of DSFL action.

Season 36

Nova Montagne her start of her DSFL career did not go as planned and she expected it to be more glorious. But after London drafted an offensive lineman who afterwards told the team they were a quarterback, she was a bit ticked off. She liked to be on London due to the fact she could be the sole starter and she did not expect any competition. In pre-season it clearly showed she was the better choice, but the controversy did take its toll early in the season. Due to her bad start she ended in the bottom of the quarterback stats, with just an 81.8 rating. She also was 5th in yards thrown, 6th in completion percentage, 8th in longest throw (which makes sense considering her lower arm strength) and 6th in touchdowns thrown, the highest she ranked was in interceptions... not the start you want as a quarterback, as you have to seperate you from the pack. She did have some good games where she thrown 3 and 4 touchdowns back to back without an interception.

Season 37

The London Royals were not in the race for the playoffs this season, with a 4-9-1 record they did manage to stay ahead of the Kansas City Coyotes as worst team of the league, but that might be the only positive thing to mention about the team record. When looking at the performance of Nova Montagne we can't really say much positives either. With a 73.1 quarterback rating she did edge out Santa Crus and Ram Say, but her TD to INT ratio hitting negatives as a capped build, is not something she really enjoys. 13 touchdowns to 17 interceptions, while her competition for the starting spot in Honolulu, Adrien St. Christmas just posted a 35 touchdown 5 interception season. It is clear who will be the next one to suit up in the blue and yellow, and it won't be London's queen. She will be back in London for another minor league season, hoping to set the record straight and show she is deserving of a spot in the big leagues.

Season 38

The London Royals would be on top of the conference this season, but only if they had played in the other conference. Unfortunately they did not and they ended up outside of the playoffs with a 9-5 record, while the Norfolk Seawolves lead their conference with 8-6. It's a sad ending for Nova who failed to reach the playoffs for the second season in a row. She had a decent season altogether, and was ranked second in the league for quarterback rating amongst the starters. Her 26 touchdown passes where the most of any quarterback this season and she was also the only quarterback with a completion percentage above 70%. With her 70.6% completion rate she ousted Painted Penguin of the Grey Ducks. Penguin had less interceptions though and that's the only reason for him scoring better as Nova, as she seemed to outperform him in most other categories. With this season coming to an end, Nova Montagne will now be called up to the Honolulu Hahalua to take over of Adrien St. Christmas who was traded to the Yellowknife Wraiths.

Season 39

After St. Christmas went winless with the Honolulu Hahalua, he was traded to the Yellowknife Wraiths as a transitional quarterback there. The Honolulu did improve from their 0-16 record to a 3-13, but were still the team with the least amount of wins, just being beat by the Berlin Fire Salamanders and Orange County Otters who won one game more. It was a decent, but not exceptional rookie season. Limited by the amount of offensive options she found her primary target Leek Mai-Heinous in constant coverage. With 26 touchdowns and 18 interceptions she did fairly ok, but realizes she will need to do way better. Her quarterback rating was almost the lowest in the league, just edging out Malcolm Savage, her longest touchdown pass was only 62 yards, only beating Preston Beatz here and completion percentage wise, Tron Carter, Malcolm Savage and Kaguya Shinomiya did worse. Only in amount of yards she placed more in the average of the league, having more yards as 7 other quarterbacks. Lets hope Season 40 will see her trending in the right direction and improve on most of these stats.

Season 40

Another two more wins under the belt this season as the Honolulu Hahalua under Montagne's command move to a 5-11 record. So for her sophomore season Montagne did see her team moving up in the standings, hoping they are indeed on the right track towards success. When looking at her stats, Nova Montagne really worked on her efficiency this year. As she got more done in less attempts. This season she had 640 attempts which resulted in 409 completions. So despite having less completions then last season, her completion percentage went up to 63.9 % which ranks her 6th from all quarterbacks. Her working out on her arm strength also helped her improve her longest touchdown pass to 75 yards this season, an increase of 13 yards compared to the season before. The amount of touchdowns went up with 3, while the interceptions went down with 1. Touchdowns has her ranked a shared 6th position together with Queen Elizabeth II. Touchdown wise its a shared 9th position with Elessar Jones, so this is something to work on next season hopefully. Her quarterback rating improved from 79.9 to 88, so hopefully we will hit the 90's here next season when Honolulu's offense should really improve. Lets keep the trend moving upwards.

Season 41

Season 41 started on a high for the Honolulu Hahalua as the wins were being racked in. But after a fast start, the wins started to slow down as the first losses came. In the end we ended with an 11-5 record, but with the tiebreakers on our side we kept the number 1 spot in the conference, but the Outlaws and Otters were not far behind. In the playoffs we lost versus the Outlaws and our season was over. Montagne did have a great season as despite her completions and attempts went down, her production went up. In total she threw for 4411 yards in the league, good for 3rd amongst quarterbacks. Her completion percentage was fourth, while she was also second in total touchdowns and interceptions (in the good way there, as she only had 8). So Montagne can be happy about her performance. But it could have been much better if the team stopped running.
