Early years
Born in Raleigh, North Carolina to a Sean and Allison Meagher. His father worked construction and his mother was a student and later nurse as he entered middle school. Nathan was heavily involved in sports at a young age. As a child he played in many sports, including basketball, ice hockey, track and field, and martial arts. He however decided to go into football mainly as his physical build best fit the sport compared to his other ventures. At 6 feet, 2 inches and 260 pounds at age 14, his natural size allowed him to outmuscle anyone when playing football at the high school level. His high school won consecutive state championships in 2044 and 2045 due to a stifling defense ancored by Meagher. Meagher was a 5-star high school recruit in 2045 and received multiple D1 offers, including Alabama, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Clemson, Ohio State, and Oregon.
College career
Nathan committed to North Carolina State in March 2025. The main factor in his decision was "staying near family and being in a familiar environment."
2045 Season
Nathan Meagher started as a true freshman for NC State, starting all 13 games. Nathan logged 24 total tackles, 1 sack, 3 TFLs, and a forced fumble.
2046 Season
The Wolfpack took a step forward in 2046, winning the ACC title vs rival North Carolina. Meagher's contributions greatly assisted the Wolfpack's defense recording 2 sacks and a fumble recovered for a touchdown during the conference title game. He finished the season with 50 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, 10 TFLs, and 3 forced fumbles. NC State ultimately won the Peach Bowl vs Georgia.
2047 Season
Meagher recorded 65 total tackles, 7.5 sacks, 18 TFLs, and 6 forced fumbles en route to an NCAA All-American team appearance and being awarded the Bednarik for best defensive player in the NCAA. After this season Meagher decided to declare for the DSFL draft, forgoing his senior season.
