Monterey "Monty" Jack (born March 10, 1988) is an American football quarterback who is currently unsigned by a professional team. He played college football for University of Louisiana at La Fayette (UL) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

"Monterey “Monty” Jack was born in a Bojangles parking lot in Kyle, Oregon on March 10th, 1998. He has a twin brother who was born on the same day named Colby Jack. Their mother, Josie Jack, did not make it to the hospital before birthing Monty so they pulled over into the nearest parking lot which happened to be at a Bojangles. Colby was born normally in a hospital. Both Monty and Colby were fierce competitors all throughout their childhood as their father, Cheddar Jack, pushed them to push themselves and to build off of one another. At the age of 8 years old, Monty began playing football alongside his brother. People kept comparing the two brothers though they had different skillsets in the backfield. Monty has a rocket arm, while Colby can shake off any defender when he sneaks out of the pocket. Since both brother played at te Quarterback position, their parents sent them to separate high schools to show their full potential. Monty attended Thurston High School and was the starting varsity quarterback back for all four years he attended. He helped take the school to 3 state championships where he won 1 of them.

College career

"If you were a close friend of Montys you would know just how much he loves Bonjangles. So, when he was deciding on which school to take his talents to it was no surprise that he ended up at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The Ragin’ Cajuns were happy to bring him onto the team giving him a full scholarship to play for them. Jack took over as the starting quarterback for the Cajuns in his Sophomore year after their former starter ruptured his achilles in warm ups before the first regular season game. Jack made sure to use this opportunity and make the best of it. He started out sort of rough in his first couple of games while he was getting used to the new limelight. Then in his third game, something clicked. In the first home game of the season for the Ragin’ Cajuns Jack completed 36 of 47 passes for 528 yards and 5 touchdowns. This lit a fire under the seats of Cajun fans as stadium attendance skyrocketed in the games following that one. That home game was the start of a three year domination by the Cajuns and more specifically Monty Jack. He broke a school record for passing yards and touchdowns in a game throwing for 647 yards and 8 touchdowns. This game put him on every DSFL and NSFL coaches radar and the floodgates of scouts opened up. Monty Jack just finished his final season as a Ragin’ Cajun and has declared for the DSFL draft. "
