Milk Mann (born July 26, 2017) is an American football safety who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for University of Missouri (Mizzou) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Milk Mann was born on July 26, 2017 in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Jeremiah and Stacy Mann. Jeremiah was an engineer, while Stacy was a nurse at St. Mary's Hospital, nearby. Mann was named after a local milk delivery man who helped his mother give birth. During a routine milk delivery, Stacy went into labor. Because Jeremiah was away on work at the time, the perceptive milk delivery man took her to the hospital.

Mann became a straight-A student while enrolled in the Jefferson City Public Schools program, although he took a particular interest in engineering. However, away from school, Mann could often be seen playing sports with his friends, mainly baseball, basketball, and football. He played all three in school, though he seemed to shine the brightest while on the football field. His natural athleticism, tall stature, and skill at reading the field made his high school coaches love him at safety, though his strength left something to be desired. Mann was a star on the Junior Varsity team during his Freshman and Sophomore years of high school.

By his Junior year, Mann had bulked up, and he officially joined the Varsity team. He led the team in tackles for 4 different games during the season, as well as picking up 5 interceptions. During his senior year he led the team in tackles for 6 games, but picking up only 4 interceptions this time. With Mann in the secondary, the Jefferson City Jays became division champions two years in a row. Despite his talent, Mann was not very heavily scouted coming out of High School, only receiving offers from 3 FCS schools and 2 FBS schools, one of which being his favorite team growing up, the University of Missouri.

College career

Mann committed to the University of Missouri. He sat the bench most of his freshman year, though his coaches often applauded his great work ethic and ability to read offenses. He did come off the bench during garbage time of two games, totaling 16 tackles in all. The tune was very similar his Sophomore year, though he did get to start the first game of the season against a Division 2 team.

Mann started every game of the season his Junior year, and coaches often found that, along with his ability to read the offense, he was also great at hunting down and tackling the ball carrier. Mann totaled 85 tackles over the season, though his team only finished 3rd in the SEC East that year. Mann's senior year went much the same way. During that season, Mann's ability to read trick plays really shone through, and his coaches noted that he was one of the most popular people in the locker room, too. His senior season ended with a heartbreaking loss in the SEC Championship, but that didn't stop scouts from noticing his potential.
