"As a true freshman Holford saw to the field a lot more than a regular freshman, due to the popularity of the sport in England not being to the level of that in America. He finished his freshman year with a respectable 12 TD's, 3 INTS from his first 7 Games. This was complimented by his ability to run with the ball whenever the pocket collapsed or he saw no available receivers, something which happened fairly often, which racked him up 200 rushing yard in the 7 games. His second year saw similar production rates but in a 15 game season. In this time Holford threw for 21 TD's and 9 INTS whilst picking up 2838 and 462 yards of passing and rushing respectively, also managing to run into the endzone for 3 scores as well. Coach Turner of the University described Holford as a 'big unit who had a surprising burst of pace, complimenting to strong and accurate arm'.
