Little is known about his mother, besides that she loves cats and might have run away with a mysterious man Dwight Schrute. When Martavius was 8 his family returned to his father's roots and left for Scranton, PA. Martavius quickly broke all the athletic records of Scranton and Nashua; there is however one questionable record held by Michael Scott.
