Steco Alonzo Ocewilder (born January 2, 2011) is an American football tight end who is currently unsigned by a professional team. He played college football for Auburn and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.


Early years

Ocewilder was born in Leeds, United Kingdom and was raised by his mother, Jillian Ocewilder, a former olympic sprinter. His father's family is of Norweigian descent, and his mother's family is of Native American ancestry. Ocewilder moved to America when he was 10 years old with his mother and eventually attended Biloxi High School in Biloxi, Mississippi and lettered in basketball, football, and still schoool records in the 100 yard dash. At age 12, Ocewilder decided to pursue his dream of making it to the NFL. He would wake up at 4 a.m. every morning to train. As the point guard for the basketball team, he averaged 24 points a game. He was a multi-position athlete for the Biloxi Indians football team, playing the running back, wide reciever, linebacker, and occasionally kick returner. In his senior year, he won the state championship game against Petal High School rushing for 198 yards and catching another 130 yards in the air while scoring 6 touchdowns collectively while also posting a Pick-Six.



College career

Ocewilder was heavily recruited by mostly SEC teams. Choosing to attend the Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, where he majored in communications. He remained on the scout team until injuries promoted him to starter for his sophomore season. In his career, he totaled 154 receptions for 1,992 yards and 27 touchdowns. While still focused on his dream of the NFL, Ocewilder continued to excel as a multi-sport athlete. He was suspended for the first 2 games of his senior season for his involvement in a fight that reportedly Ocewilder provoked. He apologized for his actions and stated he would make it up to his fans. After missing 0 games his first 3 years, Ocewilder went on to have his best collegieate year stats wise in his shortened season.
