Jack Lewis (born April 25, 2018) is an American football kicker for the Norfolk Seawolves of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Jack Lewis was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 25th, 1992. His father, David, worked as an engineering manager and his mother, Andrea, worked as an optician. He has two older sisters. He grew up in the Cleveland/Akron suburb of Hudson and attended various private schools while growing up. Before attending Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy to start his middle school years, he moved to the nearby city of Streetsboro. He transferred to Streetsboro High School during his sophomore year.

Lewis started playing soccer when he was 5 years old and played year-round from the age of 8 until he was 18. He started playing football his senior year of high school, where he kicked for the Streetsboro Rockets. While fielding offers for both soccer and football during his senior year, he chose to not continue his athletic career after high school.

After attending college at Kent State University for a year, Lewis decided to enlist in the United States Navy. He served as a Cryptologic Technician-Collection (CTR) during his four years in from 2011 to 2015. He was stationed at NIOC Hawaii. While in the Navy, Lewis trained to play football in college.

While training to play football again in college, Lewis filmed a recruiting video that went viral, gaining over 22,000 views. After talking to several schools and receiving multiple offers, Lewis decided to attend the University of Wyoming.

College career

Lewis started as a kickoff specialist during his freshman season, averaging 62.3 yards a kickoff with 15 touchbacks. He also went 1-of-1 on field goals and 4-of-4 on extra points.

Lewis competed for the starting job his sophomore season. He ended up spliting time during the season while appearing in 8 games and going 11-of-13 on field goals and a perfect 21-of-21 on extra points.

Lewis took over the starting kicking duties during his junior season. He set a school record with 27 fields goals made out of 29 attempts and a long of 48 yards. He also connected on 40-of-41 extra points. Lewis was a Lou Groza Award finalist, which was won by John Newsome from the University of Hawaii.

Lewis broke the school record for made field goals in a career with 60 during his senior season. He went 21-of-24 for the year with a long of 52 yards and a perfect 39-of-39 on extra points.

Lewis was claimed off waivers by the Norfolk Seawolves during the 2045 season.

Lewis was selected 10th overall in the Season 31 DSFL draft by the Norfolk Seawolves.
