Ioe Torrent would leave the college ranks and his home of Missouri to be drafted by the Dallas Birddogs in the S29 DSFL draft. He would go number 2 overall in the draft as a "come out of nowhere" draft pick. Ioe came into the league strong producing media pieces and videos to hype his name up. This method would work as he would be a stretch pick for the Dallas birddogs. The Season 29 Birddogs would be a juggernaut DSFL team and win the south but would be upset the luchadores in the first round. Ioe would be touted as a future star in the league and the pressure would only mount. In his first season in Dallas he would play all 14 games record 32 tackles have eight tackles for loss with five sacks and even two forced fumbles, he would earn his place as the number two overall draft pick in his first year with Dallas by immediately becoming an impact player. This was a good start to a hopeful career.

After a stolid rookie season, Ioe Torrent would go into the ISFL draft and be drafted 4th overall to the Austin Copperheads. He would be sent down to Dallas for one more year. Ioe was elected as a team captain for the birddogs and would lead the team and the league in sacks with 13. Dallas would go on to win the South but lose in the first round to Tijuana. Ioe Torrent though would be the league leader in sacks would be snubbed at the awards and not win Defensive end of the year, this would lead to also be snubbed to represent the south in the pro bowl as well. An unfortunate end to a solid DSFL career.  In his sophomore season Ioe word start all 14 games have 36 tackles 7 tackles for loss with 13 sacks. This would eventually be his last year with dallas as he would be called up the next season to play with the big-league team in Austin. Ioe was quoted as saying he “I loved my time in Dallas, they really helped me become the player I am today. They took a shot on me in the first round, and I hope I was able to leave mark. Even though we missed out on a championship I made a lifetime of friends.”

After spending two seasons in the DSFL Ioe Torrent was eventually drafted by the Austin Copperheads with the 4th overall pick in the S30 draft. He was called up to the big leagues before Season 31 and played his first season in a copperhead uniform in Season 31. As a rookie Ioe Torrent started 10 out of 16 games and recorded 10 tackles with 3 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. It was a somewhat lukewarm start to his ISFL career as the overall impact was relatively minor on the field. Ioe put in a lot of work off the field to improve and would see an impact in his sophomore season. Ioe would enter the Austin locker room much like he did in Dallas, Ioe would join a local radio team and do weekly podcast to help his brand. Ioe would eventually be welcomed under the win of star quarterback Jackie Daytona. Even though they were on different sides of the ball the veteran qb would find a liking to the young DE and the two would do several podcast together as the voices of the copperheads.

in season 32 Ioe Torrent was elected by his teammates to be the defensive team captain. He started all 16 games and recorded 43 tackles and 2 sacks. As the sophomore more teams would run to Torrent’s side and thus gave a lot of opportunities for tackles. Torrent was relied upon as a containment piece for an Austin team that would go 11-5, and second in the conference before eventually getting knocked out of the playoffs by the eventual champions the New York Silverbacks. Off the field Ioe would continue his successful podcast speaking all things Austin. Ioe would be welcomed into the Austin community and would routinely be seen out on the town representing the Copperheads. At the conclusion of this season Ioe’s podcast would extend to the Austin Copperhead show as he would have several members fo the current team as well as the general manager. They would talk all things Austin. Ioe’s on the field performances would only be a small part of his career path in Austin.

For  his third season with Austin Torrent would be elected for the second year in a row as the defensive team captain.  Torrent would go on to start 16 games, record 39 tackles on the year with a league leading 9 Tackles for loss and 8 sacks. A rough year for Austin whom would finish 8-8 but still make a playoff berth but lose in the first round Orange County Otters. This season would see a few things. The friendship that has sparked between the young defense end and the veteran qb would continue to evolve. The only problem was Daytona was looking like he career would be ending soon. Thus, Ioe would start to find him self in a more lead ship role in the clubhouse. Ioe would only have one year left on his current contract and the future though seemed to show him staying in Austin. It is possible that another down year for DE could mean the organization might move on, but with another season on the horizon and the DE still growing as a player it was unclear at this point.

Season 34 would be the first tough season for this current Austin generation. Mainstay quarterback Jackie Daytona was on his way out and the up and coming young QB was on his way in. The offense say sone big upgrades going after Sam the Onion man to pair with Bayley Cowabunga. The defense on the other hand did not get the same love. Austin trying to build the young defense through the draft was brining up several young players. Ioe was relied upon to anchor the defensive line and start carrying the defense. Going into S34 Ioe was not voted captain for the first time in 3 seasons. It was a down year statistically as well. As it appeared most teams were gonna make it a point to stop the big man he could not garner the normal tackles he has in the past with only 24. He did out pace his sacks by getting a career high 6, but it would not be enough for to lead this defense to another playoff appearance. While the offense appeared to be making the necessary changes to succeeded and led the ASFC in points, the defense held the team down from making another run. They were one game away from making the playoffs yet again but were stopped short with a lose to New Orleans 38-28. The defense again letting the overall team down but allowing 38 points to a struggling offense. This would end an era of Austin dominance. Overall Ioe himself had a tough year. The rumor mill going into this off season would be Ioe would be making a change to outside linebacker. Going into S35 would also be a contract year for Ioe so the era in Austin was also considered to be in question.

Prior to Season 35 Austin asked Ioe Torrent if he would move to the outside linebacker position. It was felt that he would have more influence back there and with Tyler Mountain starting to age out, Ioe would fill fill a need at the linebacker core. Ioe would anchor the middle on the outside allowing spicy ron on the other side to get some work. Ioe finished the season 2nd in overall in team tackles and 13th in the league in tackles as well as 1st on the team in sacks and being ranked n the top 15 in the league. Overall Austin would struggle this season ranking last in ghe division with a 5-11 record. The Austin defense being the biggest weakness ranking 2nd to last in the division in points allowed. Going into the off season Austin will look to add some depth to the defense and ioe will looks to build on last season’s numbers again anchoring that linebacker group going into season 36.

May of the pundits were saying going into Season 36 that this would be the climax of Ioe Torrents ISFL career. And well there was some truth to that. Ioe put up the best numbers of his career with 113 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, eleven sacks, and 3 forced fumbles. This was the closes to a pro bowl like season as Ioe has ever had as he made career highs across the board. Unfortunately Austin would finish just short of the playoffs for the third season in a row. That said there is hope for the future as AUS finished the season very strong with wins over Yellowknife and Honolulu. Ioe himself finished the season very high with 10 tackles and a tackle for loss against one of the best teams in the league in Honolulu. There is some juice moving into the off season that Ioe might have another season or 2 of elite type play before father time finally starts to really take effect.

They're in the off-season of season 37 IOE torrent asked his agent to go to the Austin copperhead front office and just ask around about a possible opportunity for a trade. Austin was rebuilding an IO felt that he only had a few good years left in this league and wanted to go play for a contender in his final few seasons. Austin being a great organization that they were decided to adhere to the wishes of their star middle linebacker and reached out to several top contenders about a possible trade situation. out of the mess, two teams came out on top as top picks for the move with Honolulu and Sarasota. after initial talks bio gave his blessing to go to either team with Honolulu giving the better deal of two second-round draft picks to send to Austin for Torrent.  coming into this season there was a lot of buzz. the team was coming off a third straight championship and was again a frontrunner for this season as well and then bring it in a top-tier middle linebacker like torrent really got Honolulu buzzing for a fourth straight championship. the season went pretty darn well with Torrent achieving his highest number of tackles in a single season with 121 and nine sacks to lead the defense to a playoff appearance that unfortunately led to yet another disappointing playoff as Honolulu would lose to the Arizona outlaws in the second round of the playoffs prematurely ending the season.

After season going into season 38 the Honolulu front office decided it was time for a rebuild. they approached Torrent and asked if he wouldn't mind being traded and insured him they would try to trade him to a contender. after only one season torrents days in Honolulu were over. the beautiful weather the beautiful island he would have say goodbye to you after only one year as he was eventually shipped off to San Jose to play for the Sabre cats. and in a continuous trend that seems to continue at least this season, his eighth season would be his best where he would tie the record for most tackles for loss in a single season at 24 be top five in tackles with 136 and four six forced fumbles.  the saber cats would go 10 and six on the year and make the playoffs, where unfortunately they would fall to the New York silverbacks in the first round thus ending season 38. what will the future hold for ioe torrent as it appears he may become a journeyman to end his career or he may finish out in San Jose time will tell

Ioe Torrent second season in San Jose was a season many thought we would see the decline in the old man.  This would be his 11th season playing (in both leagues) his 9th in the ISFL. Usually this where we see star players start to decline. But much Ioe would turn out a very solid season. Even after last season career year Ioe was able to edge out 6 more sacks than the previous year for a total of 13 which would be a career high. We did see a dip in overall tackles but we saw a career high in interceptions and pass deflections. So the veteran linebacker showed he was not quite slowing down yet. The team as a whole had a good season, making the playoffs for another year. They did lose to the outlaws in the first round whom they would lose in the Ultimus. With that, Ioe has only one year left on his deal with San Jose. With another year we will most likely see some decline is his overall game.. but time will tell.

It's always difficult to watch your hero start to decline as the undefeated father time finally takes its toll on a player. some of the athletes worst nightmares is when they come to the crossroads of when it's time to retire. they don't want to stay too long so that they become so obvious a detriment to the team and a once great player looks like a shell of the former selves. but it's always a difficult thing when it's time to step away. Ioe would going to the season looking for one more great season before he hangs them up. San Jose was a long shot to make it to the playoffs but it's a great place to retire it's a place where he is raising his family. he wanted to give the fans another great year before he finally said goodbye to the game he loved. he was a rather tough season to say the least as he recorded the least amount of tackles since he moved to linebacker six seasons ago. it was a career low tying sack production season. but where he lacked in the patch rush he made-up for in coverage as he's still was able to get 10 pass deflections on the year. at the end of the season San Jose did reach out to Ioe and asked him to sign a one year final season goodbye contract. the next season will be his last as he does his farewell tour.  Its been a great journey but all things must come to end they say

Professional career

S29

S30

S31

S32

in season 32 Ioe Torrent was elected by his teammates to be the defensive team captain.

S33

S34

S35

S36

S37

S38

S39

S40
