Before long, Owidhuse and Heiiajs D had overtaken Chicago. Was it a shout of good luck before the game? A cry of joy over a victory? The lines started to blur and outside of those who experienced it in person, the meaning started to become lost. It even got to the point where some analysts had taken the "OWIDHUSE" to stand for "Offensive Wins In Downs Having Unusual Scenario Enumeration". Which translated to "an advanced metric that the team excels at which measures how often they convert first downs on atypical down and distances (3rd and 10+, for example)" and for some reason, the Butchers always lead the league in it. Coincidence?  I think not. The meaning kept changing but not with Heiiajs D. Owidhuse finally making its debut in the DSFL, the hopes are the true meaning can spread across the league and the glory of Heiiajs D Owidhuse can be restored.

Owidhuse started his campaign after being drafted with the first pick in the second round to the Kansas City Coyotes. The Owidhuse had always been contained in Chicago so getting a footing here in Kansas City was key. The embodiment of Owidhuse started off as swiss army knife weapon on offense. Whenever the Yotes were on offense, "Heiiajs D" and "OWIDHUSE" chants were heard all around. It kept opposing defenses guessing. Was the chant going to embody the form of a runner or receiver or blocker? It could be any of the three. This threw defenses off and help lead the Yotes to the best record in the league. However, late in the season something shifted. Starting in week 14 and onto the playoffs, the fan started these chants while on defense, not on defense. No one knows what possessed the fans to make this change after everything was going well for the team. Unfortunately the switch the defense didn't seem to fire up the defense quite like it did on offense. This led to a historic comeback, but ultimately falling short to Tijuana in the Ultimini.

In the offseason, the Chicago Butchers marketing team amidst pressure from the front office made a blockbuster move by signing a NIL deal the bring HEIIAJS D. OWIDHUSE back from Kansas City to Chicago. With a short one season stint, the Owidhuse didn’t quite stick with the Kansas City locals but its reputation still stands. Now, with a record breaking 1 million dollar NIL deal, Owidhuse inked the richest marketing deal in league history. The money is equivalent to some player contracts even. Chicago native rejoiced and Owidhuse merch was sold left and right. Despite the hype, the season didn’t quite go as planned. The first few weeks were a mess and management saw it fit to do a fire sale and rebuild for the future and embrace the Owidhuse. By mid season, the fans were using their Owidhuse chants to hype up the CB1 and surprisingly turned into a top 10 performance for the rookie. With the disappointing season in the books, Owidhuse hopefuls are looking forward to the future of many more years of HEIIAJS.

There was some hope. The Butchers social media team started to hype up the OWIDHUSE. Fans were excited. The team had invested into the offensive line hoping to compete in most of theirs games. But, despite the pre-season hype from the team, the team fell flat on their face right out of the gate. The HEIIAJS D. was in full force in their opening game at New Orleans but their ASFC counter part got the best of them. The Butchers proceeded to start 0-3 with the OWIDHUSE at its lowest point. A surprise win at Yellowknife breathed some fresh air into the fans determination, but a subsequent 3 game losing streak put an end to that. At this point, the Butchers were already looking ahead to next years draft and looking to secure the #1 overall pick. After beating fellow bottom feeder teams San Jose and Colorado, the team took on a new mantra of using the OWIDHUSE chant to lose games. This was successful leading to 6 straight losses to end the season - and thanks to the early season loss to New Orleans - meant that they secured the first pick in the draft. The Butchers and their crazy chants hope to reload and be back in contention soon.

Last season was a full on rebuild season, there was no hiding that. The OWIDHUSE embodied the tank. But this season was different. In a surprise move, former MVP Jarvis Harbinger-Marjin drank some of the koolaid that was the OWIDHUSE movement and decided to sign with the Butchers. His powerful running style breathed a fresh air into the Butchers offseason and took a heavy load off of the Penguin. But, it seems like the HEIIAJS D. didn't get the memo that the tank was over. The Butchers started the season at 1-4, with their only win again fellow bottom feeders NOLA. Given the state of the team, Chicago's town Mayor held an all-you-can-drink event for the Butchers next home game. Obviously, the theme was "HEIIAJS D." and "OWIDHUSE". The event attracted millions, both for the unlimited drinks and in the name of OWIDHUSE. With the new resurgence, Chicago rattled off a few impressive wins to sit a 8-6 on the season with 2 games left and a chance to control their destiny into the playoffs. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough and the Butchers dropped their last two games to finish the season at 8-8. But not all was lost as the embodiment of "HEIIAJS D." and "OWIDHUSE" won defensive player of the year this season.

We are back on the OWIDHUSE train. But now its more of the same stuff. Ups and downs during the season. Blockbuster trades during the offseason. Blockbuster (not really) trades during the season. Fans lose hope in the HEIIAJS D, but then it comes back just as quick as it was lost. Playoffs are in sight? Nope they're gone as quick as you saw them. The OWIDHUSE willed some big trades to go through during the offseason but for this year, nothing came to fruition. The Butchers won some meaningless games and yet again were on the outside looking in on the playoffs. When will the HEIIAJS D. OWIDHUSE bring the team back to the glorious days of the playoffs? Better yet, an Ultimus? With team morale low, a new marketing ploy had been devised to keep fans engaged. This consisted of Poison Dart Frog water bottles, Orca plushies, and even some beanie hats.

Heiiajs D. Owidhuse (born January 6, 2022) is an American football runningback who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Wisconsin (Wisc) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Heiiajs D. Owidhuse started out small. First it was just an Owidhuse. Week 15 of season 35. Butchers visiting the Wraiths. Chicago was in the thick of playoff contention and a win here would guarantee a playoff spot. The score was 28-24 with Chicago down in the 4th quarter. Lalu Mohammed Zohri got wide open, Kazimir Oles Jr launched the ball up in the air and thus the "OWIDHUSE" was born as Zohri strolled into the endzone for the lead. The Butchers would stave off a Wraith comeback as they secured a trip to the playoffs enroute to a 38-34 victory. Heiiajs D came about shortly after. Season 36, week 12. A trip to Balitmore to get revenge on their week 1 loss. It was a back and forth game with the Hawks evening the score with 2 minutes remaining. Both teams trade punts and the Butchers have 44 seconds to drive down the field for a win. The first play, a rush of no gain with time ticking. The offense quickly lined up and Oles Jr took a shot deep down the field to LordreSombre for 41 yards. With no timeouts remaining, Levy Tate rushes onto the field and boots it for 57 yards. You could hear a load "HEIIAJS D" as the ball passed the uprights for the win.

College career
