Eric Kasey Barlow (born February 12, 1998) is an American football safety who is currently unsigned by a professional team. He played college football for The State University of New York at Buffalo (Buffalo) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Eric Barlow, born in Brooklyn, New York is an american football saftey currently awaiting the S21 DSFl Draft He attended Franklin Delano Rosevelt Highschool in Manhattan, where he initially found sucess as a track star, later switching to football in his junior year. While in highschool he primarily played as a wide receiver, occasionally filling in as a substitue defensive back. While not having the most prolific of high school careers, still had division I interest due to his athletisism, and high IQ of the game. Though he did get offers from some big name schools, the only thing Eric was looking for was a full ride, luckily enough, he was able to find it only a few hundred miles away at The State University of New York at Buffalo. The young safety said in an interview with the Daily Reporter. "It's good to be so close to home and have the oppourtunity to play, I don't know if I would've got that anywhere else."

College career

Barlow played three full seasons for the Bulls as a safety, before the start of his freshman season Eric Barlow made the switch to safety, in an interview for The Buffalo Tribune he said this. "I felt like I wasn't really myself when I was lining up on the other side of the ball, it just didn't feel like me." In his freshman year, Barlow was used as a complimentary piece and did not see much play time, however he used the time he was given to the fulliest, as even with a limited snap count he still managed to record three interceptions, one of which went 82 yards for a touchdown. Around the country people began to talk of Barlow's impressive awareness and game knowlege, though some were concerned he lacked the speed he'd need at the profesional level. Barlow was quick to silence his doubters in his sophomore campaign. After getting the starting job, he put up impressive numbers across the bored, and drawing the attention of the NSFL front offices. His junior season was even more electrifying, so much so he was awarded decisive All-American honors, after leading the country in interceptions and pass deflections he declared for the S21 DSFL draft.
