Early years
Elrond Hubbard was born in Beleriand, California, USA. His father was a sailor who was rarely home, so in order to try and garner some attention from him, he took up the sport of football. In his junior year of high school he led the Beleriand Elves to a 12-0 record while rushing for a state record 3120 yards and 72 touchdowns. He also caught 110 passes for 2301 yards and 17 touchdowns. It was far and away the highest offensive totals in the state's history. During his senior year he decided to quit football altogether to take the student council more seriously. He took it so seriously in fact, that it ended up getting renamed the student council or Elrond and was frequently responsible for making important decisions for the school. Just as the Elves were getting ready for the playoffs though, Elrond returned, leading Beleriend to a 2nd straight state title.
College career
He stayed close to home for college and took a full ride scholarship to Rivendell State University. He once again starred at running back leading the team to conference titles in his first two seasons, while also earning Newcomer of the Year and Offensive player of the year honors. In his junior season, Rivendell once again qualified for the conference title game, this time playing Mordor State. The game was notable for Mordor St. alum Modern Nazgul, a very successful ISFL player and champion, having his jersey retired at the game. Before it started, the two chatted with Hubbard telling Nazgul that he was going to break all of his records. Nazgul claimed that would be tough to do since he played defense but Elrond remained undeterred. Rivendell would win the game 41-17 with Hubbard running for 4 TDs in the game. They would go on to win the national title as well that season before he decided to forego his senior season and enter the draft.
