Andre Michael Uzond (born January 29, 2013) is an African-American American football cornerback for the Portland Pythons in the Develeopmental Simulation Football League who was drafted in the 4th pick of the 3rd round in the 2034 DSFL draft. He was considered a top Defensive Back prospect. He was born in Kennewick, WA. His mother, Herculisa, was a semi-professional hockey player on the Roosevelt City Renegades for the SPWAHL. He is a devout Christian, and his mother is an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God.

Early years

Dre Uzond was born and raised in Kennewick, Washington. He lived with his family whose members were limited to his father and mother, named Ron Kevin and Herculisa respectively, and his younger sister Azelia. His father, Ron Kevin died as a result of gun homicide during a business trip to Chicago when Dre was 13. Dre attended Kamiakin High School, where he was widely recruited by top colleges until an ACL injury very early into his Senior year hurt his recruiting stock.

College career

Dre Uzond verbally committed to Auburn his sophomore year of High School. His Junior year, he retracted his commitment and verbally committed to Ohio State. After an ACL injury derailed his Senior year, Ohio State retracted their scholarship offer. Dre Uzond took a position at Eastern Washington University. He lost his entire freshman year due to a medical redshirt from his ACl injury. The following year, as a redshirt freshman year he had a very poor outing, his coach Rion Phaelgerry believed that he hadn't fully recuperated from his knee injury. He performed poorly (That's what she said) in practice and never started a game. He recorded a bounce back Sophomore year. He was notable that season for winning the Devin Wonlin Award for best DB in the FCS. In the off-season, Dre transferred to the University of Washington at Seattle, where he spent his third eligible season, which was his last. He lead the FBS in interceptions that year with seven. Following the season, he signed an agent and entered the DSFL draft, where he was drafted by Portland.
