Dermot Lavelle (born August 26, 1994) is an American football cornerback for the Yellowknife Wraiths of the National Simulation Football League (NSFL). He played college football for the University of Arizona Wildcats before entering the professional ranks in 2016 as a waiver player before going on to be drafted first overall in the 2017 ISFL Draft (S2) by the Yellowknife Wraiths. Lavelle has been invited to the NSFL Pro Bowl in each of his eight seasons in the NSFL, and is widely considered to be one of the best cornerbacks in the league.

Early years
Dermot Lavelle was born August 26th 1994 in Castlebar, Ireland. Lavelle grew up playing a variety of sports such as basketball, soccer and handball. Basic information like that.
College career
Lavelle began his collegiate career playing for the Wildcats soccer team, playing out wide on either wing but was often employed as a wing back in a 5-3-2 formation to profit off of his speed and ability to go forward. Lavelle was eventually highlighted for his consistent performances and Wildcats coach at the time Rich Rodriguez approached him with the opportunity to try out for the football team prior to the seasons beginning. Lavelle impressed and was lined up at CB for the foreseeable future. Lavelle played well enough to start the season taking snaps at both CB and FS. Lavelle played all 13 games of Arizona's 7-6 record season and managed to snag himself 4 interceptions
