David Rector (born December 29, 2008) is an American football cb who is currently unsigned by a professional team. He played college football for NC State University (NCSU) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.


Early years

David Rector was born in Raleigh, NC to parents Darrell and Barbara. He excelled at sports from a young age. He was a starter for the Green Hope HS Varsity team on both Offense and Defense all 4 years he was there. He was recruited by multiple schools throughout the country, but decided to stay with his hometown team the NC State Wolfpack.



College career

After Redshirting his Freshman year at NC State Rector was immediately put into a starting Corner role his 2nd year where he excelled for 3 years at NC State as the Wolfpack saw great success finishing 2nd in the ACC behind Clemson every year. Rector finished his career at NC State with the all time career lead in Interceptions at 20. Rector was a First Team All-ACC member both his 2nd and 3rd years. He was a recipient of the Jim Thorpe award his 3rd season as he lead all of College Football in Interceptions with 9. Rector decided to forgoe his last year of elligibility and take his talents to the professional ranks.
