Darius Bailey (born October 2, 2027) is an American football wide receiver who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Ole Miss (OM) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Darius Bailey was born in Biloxi, Mississippi in October 2030. A quiet child, Darius was a part of a family that held ambition to play sport at the highest level, with his brother Joshua playing as a running back for the University of Tennessee before making it to the CFL, while his sister played soccer for Ole Miss. Darius would spend his evenings as a child out on the football field, running routes that he had thought up in his head, attempting to catch passes from anyone he could find to throw them to him and dreaming of what his future would look like in the world of pro sport. His father encouraged him to work hard at his craft and play all the way up until his final years in high school, something he accomplished and which lead to some enticing college scholarship offers being made. Darius decided to join the same college his sister was currently attending, and accepted an offer to play football for the Ole Miss Rebels.

College career

Darius entered the Rebels program with a determination to play as much as possible in his freshman year. With an end goal of making a pro league within 2 to 3 years of college, his focus was on showing his value immediately. Darius was able to see the field more than anticipated, playing in all 14 games and being the third receiver in the Rebels’ air raid offense, allowing for strong opportunities to show his ability. Bailey was able to build on his success in the two seasons following, posting strong numbers in both and being named a Consensus All-American as a sophomore, and a Unanimous All-American in his junior year. Darius decided to forego his senior year with Ole Miss, having built an impressive legacy at the school, and entered into the professional portal after his team’s win in the Sugar Bowl that year. It capped a glittering college career, and one that Darius hopes to build on in the professional leagues.
