Chase Jensen (born January 7, 1998) is an American football Tight End for the Yellowknife Wraiths of the Developmental Simulation Football League. He played college football for Stanford University where he collected more that 2000 yards receiving over his collegiate career.

Early years

A native of San Jose, California, Jensen attended Los Gatos High School, where he originally got his athletics start playing basketball. He started on varsity as a freshman and sophomore leading the Wildcats to records of 23-3 and 24-2 respectively. After his sophomore year, however, he was recruited by the football team to play both tight end and defensive end. As a junior, Jensen accumulated over 800 yards receiving and 6 touchdowns as well as led the team in sacks with 11. As a senior, Jensen turned his entire focus to playing tight end, where he set a school record in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns for a single season, 1647 yards and 19 touchdowns. Despite Jensen's inexperience at the position, he still received a 4 star rating and received national recruiting attention. On signing day, Jensen announced his top 3 schools of Washington, USC, and ultimately where he ended up choosing, Stanford.

College career

Jensen accepted a full scholarship offer to play for Coach David Shaw at Stanford University from 2015-2019. As a true freshman, Jensen played in all 14 games for the Cardinal but was most relegated to blocking duties. He did, however, catch 11 balls for a total of 123 yards and 2 touchdowns on the season. As a sophomore, Jensen's receiving game started to flourish, where he ended up with 652 yards and 6 touchdowns helping Stanford to a 10-3 record including catching the game winning touchdown over North Carolina in the Sun Bowl. Jensen's junior season was cut short by a nagging hamstring injury, so he ultimately only ended up playing in 3 games collecting 312 yards receiving and 4 touchdowns. Similarly to high school, Jensen had a breakout Senior season where he had 1361 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns which helped Stanford to a 9-4 record and a win over Pitt in the Sun Bowl. After Jensen's senior season at Stanford had ended, he decided to not apply for a medical year and declare for the DSFL Draft.
