Carlos Marx (born July 8, 2040) is an American football defensive end for the Portland Pythons of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Carlos Marx was born in Chicago on August 31, 2038 to Otto and Louisa Marx. The son of German and Colombian immigrants, Carlos was often picked on in school for struggling with English as his third language.

As he grew up Carlos had a passion for soccer that was instilled by his father. Otto had been an assistant coach in Germany for the women's national team until he fell in love with Louisa, who was part of the Colombian women's team, and was driven out of the country following the 2034 World Cup Finals controversy. Entering high school Carlos was one of the top soccer prospects in the country and by the end of his freshman year had only further cemented this after going through a massive growth spurt of 8"" in just under 6 months. However, tragedy struck as during a summer club game he severely tore his knee. During the 9 month rehab, Carlos struggled with his mental health and gained a significant amount of weight. Upon his return he simply wasn't the player he once was and was cut from the high school team.

Carlos was ready to quit all sports for good when the football coach approached him about trying out. As soon as he stepped on the field, Carlos was hooked. Now he could use his unparalled size and the quickness honed over a lifetime of soccer, Carlos quickly showed he was still a world class athlete. After dominating in his junior and senior years he had several D-I offers but elected to attend Northwestern where Otto was the women's soccer coach.

College career

At Northwestern, Carlos kept honing his craft and was widely recognized for not just his play on the field but also his notorious beard. Carlos was the four time BIG 10 Beard of the Year Player and had several endorsements from Gillete and Badass Beard Care. Following a successful junior year many expected Carlos to enter the DSFL draft but he elected to return for one final year.

Once again though, tragedy struck and Carlos broke his ankle midway through the season and was forced to miss the remainder of the year. With no elegibility left, Carlos entered the DSFL draft, excited and eager to follow the path he previous set and come back even stronger and better from his injury.
