Bruce White (born June 12, 2034) is an American football defensive end who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Texas A&M University (TAMU) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Bruce White attended Dumas High School in Dumas, Texas, where he was a letterman in football, basketball, baseball, and track. Not to be fooled by his nickname "The Dumbass From Dumas" White is quick witted, quick to learn, and a cerebral player with a high level of strength and speed. The most notable aspect of White, in combination with his off the charts attributes is his combined "Anything to Win" mentality and a mean streak matched by very few others.

White was born in Dallas, TX, but moved to Dumas when he was 11 years old after his parents both died in a tragic boating accident. White was raised by his grandfather on a cattle ranch outside of Dumas where White learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and gained an indomitable will to be the best at the thing he and his father loved most, football. He graduated with honors from Dumas High School.

College career

White came to Texas A&M as the #2 overall prospect in the nation. As a true freshman White recorded 8.5 sacks in only six games. White quickly cemented himself as an impact player on the Aggie defense and was well known for bringing back the once vaunted "Wrecking Crew" nickname because of his mean demeanor, indomitable power, and propensity for making big hits on every in his path. White became a full time starter in his Sophomore year, recording 12.5 sacks and leading one of the top defenses in the nation once again. In his Junior year White tied Von Miller for 2nd most single season sacks in Texas A&M history with 17. White earned a first-team All-American selection by the Walter Camp Football Foundation and the Football Writers Association of America. He was also the Bill Willis Award winner as the top defensive lineman. White dedicated both awards to his parents and honored them for being the reason he became the player he is.

2055 (S40)

After being a highly sought after recruit Bruce was drafted #4 overall in the DSFL S40 Draft by the Portland Pythons.

Bruce quickly became known for his dominant performances in the DSFL, just like he had been in the college ranks by notching his first career sack in his first career game.

Bruce led the DSFL in Sacks in his rookie season, tying the league's single season sack record at 18, and becoming an important piece to a stifling Portland Python defense that smothered teams all throughout the season. Led by the incredible defense and a high powered offense, Bruce and the Pythons went on to dominant the end of the season, leading to a huge playoff win against the London Royals and making it to a S40 Ultimini appearance at the North Pole against the Bondi Beach Buccaneers.

The Pythons gained the early lead with the help of yet another outstanding performance by Bruce and the defense, but after too many miss FGs and a late game push by BBB, the Pythons ended up falling to the Buccaneers 24-21

2056 (S41)

After a successful and fruitful season in the DSFL, winning the S40 DSFL MOP, MVP, and DROY Awards, Bruce White was drafted 6th overall in the S41 ISFL Draft by the New Orleans Second Line.

As a much anticipated True Rookie, Bruce made an immediate impact in a lost season for NOLA. While being the sack master at the DSFL level, Bruce struggled to accumulate sacks for a rebuilding NOLA team in his rookie year. Where he did excel, however, was in the tacklings Running Backs behind the line of scrimmage, becoming one of the ISFL’s leaders in TFLs and making an impact in the run game week after week.

Bruce White was even lauded by ISFL user and known curmudgeon, TheRake, for being the ISFL S41 True Rookie of the Year and top rookie Defensive End in the league, beating out all other fellow rookies, including his friend Rico Savage.

2057 (S42)

Another year in the ISFL filled with hope and expectations and another stinker on the field for Bruce.

While still trying to adjust to the speed of the ISFL game, Bruce did see an increase in sacks, but fell off in TFL. Continuing to make adjustments and find his groove, proved to be a mighty task for Bruce in Year 2 and going into Year 3 the concerns are starting to mount. Does Bruce care more about his Beignet Empire than he does about football?

Even with the downturn of a season, the New Orleans Second Line showed their faith in Bruce by signing him to a brand new contract extension worth $6 million. With the news that New Orleans could potentially be switching up their defensive scheme in S43, it could be time for Bruce to finally shine at the ISFL level. But as of S42, Bruce might be one of the biggest busts of the S41 class.

2058 (S43)

While Bruce may have gotten a slow start to his career in the ISFL, he definitely didn't get a slow start in his 3rd season at the ISFL level. Starting the season off strong with 3 sacks in the first game of the 2058 season, Bruce instantly made his name known amongst the top of all defensive linemen at the ISFL level and never relented. A new off-season program proved the perfect remedy to Bruce's previous disappointments. Fewer Beignets and more squat thrusts powered Bruce to his best season yet in S43.

Although the season did not pan out of the New Orleans Second Line, there were flashes of brilliance from some of their young players with Bruce being one of the names leading the charge. After having his best season yet, Bruce White finally earned accolades in the ISFL by making the S43 Pro Bowl and 2nd Team All-Pro in the ISFL.

Many believe that Bruce was robbed from 1st Team All-Pro, but the league would quickly realize that the name Bruce White was just starting to become a mainstay in the league and at the top of the league awards season.

2059 (S44)

This was the year of Bruce! The 2059 season, Season 44 of the ISFL, was the year Bruce finally broke out as one of the main standout defenders of the league. His performance on the Defensive Line in 2059 was when the rumblings of potential future Hall of Famer starting being heard around league circles.

Bruce and his beignet powered body led all Defensive ends in Sacks, Forced Fumbles, Tackles for a Loss, and Tackles. He was a force to be reckoned with and all other teams in the league feared him. As the backbone of the New Orleans Second Line defense, Bruce’s powerhouse performance and mentality were on that he would build on for years to come.

With it being his 4th season in the league, Bruce made waves as an MVP candidate, Defensive Player of the Year candidate (both of which he was robbed of) and was 1st Team All-Pro. He also made yet another Pro Bowl.

2060 (S45)

The dominance of Bruce continued in S45. Bruce's move to OLB for one season proved to be a major success. Leading the New Orleans Second Line to their best season defensively in quite some time, Bruce’s impact alongside the likes of Ezra Azazel and Josh Gibson helped him dominate the league again from a completely different capacity, showcasing his athleticism and strength

Bruce and his yet again beignet-powered body was 3rd in the ISFL in Tackles with 128, 3rd in TFLs with 12, and in the Top 20 for Sacks with 12. He was a force to be reckoned with and all other teams in the league feared him. As the backbone of the New Orleans Second Line defensive front 7, Bruce’s powerhouse performance at LB was a sight to see

With it being his 5th season in the league, Bruce made waves as an MVP candidate, Defensive Player of the Year candidate (both of which he was robbed of) and just missed out on All-Pro because of a broken system that didn’t appreciate him properly. He also made yet ANOTHER Pro Bowl.

2061 (S46)

Another year in the ISFL filled with hope and expectations for NOLA and yet another DUD.

Bruce, however, adjusted nicely to his new position at Defensive Tackle. After seeing time at multiple positions on the defense already, Bruce once again proved that he could be the swiss army knife that NOLA needed by moving from LB to DT. He amassed a whopping 13 sacks, 51 tackles, 6 tackles for a loss, and 2 forced fumbles. On a defense that continues to get better Bruce still shines as the one beacon of hope on a defense that was underwhelming and lackluster based on expectations.

The only disappointing part of Bruce's season was him missing out on All-Pro, Pro Bowl, and awards honors in S46. With the Defensive Tackle spot being a wildly competitive area in the league, it was definitely going to be difficult for him to waltz in and steal away awards, but that didn't stop Bruce from drowning his sorrows in Scotch and Beignets, the first time in his career that his habits can actually help with his performance at his position. But with S46 in the rearview, all Bruce has is to look forward to a new year and new goals!
