King Dedede (born April 27, 2035) was an American football linebacker.

Early years

King Dedede was born in Dream Land on Planet Popstar, where he ruled for many years as his name suggests. He loved eating food. As ruler, he went on many adventures with many colorful characters, most notably his rival, Kirby. One day, one of his servants got concerned about the weight he was gaining. He suggested Dedede try a sport. He tried many sports but he seemed to fail at all of them except one, being football. He wasn't good in offense, but in defense, he showed a lot of promise. His tackles were strong and he was good at making offensive players drop the ball. He was also surprisingly fast, so he could catch up to the ball carrier in no time. So, he put one of his servants in charge of Dream Land and searched for the nearest school with a football program to start his career as a football player.

College career

King Dedede decided to attend Dream Land Community College. It looked promising, as DLCC has had a successful history. Unfortunately, Dedede's starts haven't been great. In his first season with the community college, Dedede had 14 successful tackles, 0.5 sacks, and 1 pass defended. These aren't great stats. However, his last game that season was an eventful one for sure. He got 10 of his 14 tackles and his shared sack in that game alone. He claimed that he was just warming up with those first few games. He then went into his second and final year, where he improved by a large margin. He was the best linebacker in the league that season, as he had 42 successful tackles, 2 sacks, 5 passes defended, and his first interception during that season. He even led Dream Land Community College to a championship. League officials were very impressed with Dedede's skills, and the ruler of Dream Land was truly making his way towards the big leagues.
