Early years
Soul King Brook became a skeleton after dying in the Florian Triangle with his former crew. This was due to the powers of his Yomi Yomi no Mi, a devil fruit that revives the user after their first death. However, since Brook was in the Florian Triangle at the time of his death, his soul took 2 years to find his body. When his soul did find his body, there was no body left, instead it was just bones. Brook was all alone on a ship in the seemingly never ending Florian Triangle, and he spent 5 decades floating around there. Eventually, he had his shadow taken from him by a certain pirate, and a few years later teamed up with future King of the Pirates Monkey D. Luffy to get his shadow back. After this, he joined Luffy's crew as a musician, since he had an out of this world talent for it. After sailing with Luffy and finding the One Piece, Brook decided to pursue football which has lead him to the ISFL.
College career
Brook attended College before he found his love for football at Namakura Island, which is where he first started his prolific music career as Soul King Brook. Unlike most other pros, Brook focused entirely on his music, developing the skill to control his soul as well as others through his music. Brook also managed to up his sword craft, as well as speed, and strength during his 2 year stint as a rockstar. Unbeknownst to the public, Brook was actually being exploited, however due to his kind nature he put up with it until it was time to reunite with his captain and sail the New World. He would become a legendary pirate, having conquered the Grand Line as well as the music industry. His performances of songs such as "Binks' Sake" would cement his position as perhaps the greatest musician alive. When told this, Brook responded with "But I'm dead! YOHOHOHOHOHOHO!!!"
