Early years
Andrew was born in Indianapolis and raised by his parents, Robert and Vanessa. He was raised alongside two older brothers, Michael and Steven. Andrew was always a very active kid and quickly took an interest in sports, following after his brothers. However, he possessed a natural talent for many sports, including the game of football. In high school, he won the starting quarterback role and played well enough to earn a scholarship to the University of Purdue.
College career
"While Reese found an easy path to success in high school, the competition at the college level was challenging and he found himself forced to adapt in order to keep up with his peers. He fought for the starting Quarterback role and ultimately lost, forcing him to sit on the bench for most of his freshman and sophomore years. Reese worked hard, though, and was ultimately able to earn a starting role in his junior year.
During his junior and senior years, Reese took a huge leap forward, helping his school become one of the top offenses in their division and put together back-to-back winning seasons. Reese was known for his accuracy and was able to dissect opposing defenses with ease. He had a reputation as a pocket passer and coaches saw his mobility as a concern, but the school's offense line helped to protect him and keep him off the turf. This performance would ultimately lead DSFL scouts to take a close look at Reese and recommend him for the DSFL."
