Early years
Reggie Ronson was born on September 13th, 2027 in Huntsville, Alabama to parents Abigail and Lucius Ronson. Reggie was always large for his size growing up, leading to him excelling in athletics, especially football where his physicality specifically shone through. He was a freshman starting on his varsity football team when he earned his nickname "Rumble" for carrying three defenders, including a defensive lineman, twenty yards into the endzone to score a game-winning touchdown. He was so large and athletic that he was a sophomore when Division I college teams began to show up at his games to scout him. He always wanted to remain in his home state to play college football which made it a dream come true for him when he received a scholarship from Auburn University. This offer came with a promise that he would see significant playing time as a true freshman. Reggie was obviously focused on his blossoming football career, but his parents made sure to emphasize also focusing on his academics so that he could have a successful career after he was finished with football.
College career
Reggie did indeed have a fair share of playing time off of the bench during his freshman year, mostly as a short yardage and goal line back, due to his size. While it didn't afford him many carriers, he quickly gained a reputation around college football for being a punishing runner. As he continued into his sophomore season at Auburn, he became a popular player nationwide due to his large build and fitting nickname. His moniker "Rumble" became so ubiquitous that many people didn't even know his given first name. Thus he began to go by Rumble Ronson almost exclusively. He was now the team's starting runningback following the graduation of the team's starting senior the season before. He ended up leading the Southeastern Conference in rushing touchdowns and third down conversions. Moving on to Reggie's junior season, he blossomed as one of college football's most exciting athletes. He quickly became a favorite for the Heisman Trophy and was leading Auburn to perfect record. During the team's tenth game, he was upended on what would eventually be labeled a dirty play. When he landed, he heard his knee pop and had to be carted off the field. It was discovered that he had blown out both his ACL and MCL, and that he would have over a year's worth of recovery to get back on the field. Knowing that he would end up missing basically his entire senior season, he decided he would work towards getting healthy and then declare for the DSFL draft the following year.
