Early years
Scott Wickerd was born in the small town of Binghamton, NY. His mom was Ruth and unfortunately his dad is not in the picture. His mom works for the school district. Even though Scott was born on the east coast, because of circumstances; him and his mom moved out to California where he grew up to be their person and player that he is today. Scott went to high school at Paloma Valley High School located in Menifee, CA. He was a two-sport athlete playing in both baseball and football. As a shorter kid with really good speed, he played slot WR in football and he played Centerfield and Middle Infield for baseball. As the years went on for Scott as he went thru high school, he made the decision to switch to focus on football full time. One of his career highlights is beating their rival Heritage Patriots in what is known as the Menifee Bowl. After losing the first 11 times, Wickerd and his team finally secured the elusive Menifee Bowl and won it with Wickerd taking control of the game and leading the Wildcats to a massive victory going for 10 recs 155 yards and 2 TDS. After winning the first bowl in 12 attempts Wickerd would go onto his senior season and procced to lead the Wildcats to a shutout victory against the Patriots 37-0 for back-to-back Menifee Bowl victories.
College career
As a 4-star recruit in High School, Scott had a few offers from some pristine schools. They included Oregon, Ohio State, LSU, Washington, USC, Oregon St., Alabama and Texas. He ultimately decided to take his talents to the University of Oregon which was actually his dream school. As a freshman he was behind some serious talented WRs but nonetheless made the most out of his opportunities. He played in 5 games and had 25 recs for 275 yards and 3 TDs. His sophomore season saw an uptick in playing time as some of his teammates went Pro. He played in 12 games and started 8 of them going off for 50 Recs 535 yards and snagging 6 Tds. His junior season he was the main slot WR and also the main KR and PR for the Ducks. He started in all 12 games going off for a whopping 80 Recs 1,165 yds and hauling in 10 Tds to go along with 24 KR for 275 Yds and taking 1 TD 95 yards. He also had 30 PR for 120 Yds and 1 PR TD that went 60 yards.
