Early years
Mathias Mayhem was always an athlete, playing many sports growing up, he found that football was one of this favorites. He was both a Quarterback and Linebacker on his pop warner youth teams, and excelled on both sides of the ball. His family was courted early and often by high school coaches trying to get them to move to their school districts so that young Mayhem would be eligible to play for them when he reached high school, but ultimately they decided to stay in Mathias home town. Once at the high school, Mathias would become the record holder in both passing yards and touchdown passes, as well as sacks and tackles for losses on the other side of the ball. It's not often that you see a player recruited as a 5 star QB and a 5 star LB, but Mayhem broke the mold as a youngster. Despite offers from every college in the nation, Mayhem chose to attend Boston College and stay close to home.
College career
Once at Boston College, Mathias Mayhem excelled in every aspect of his game and college in general. He broke every passing record at Boston College, as well as all of the defensive records. Never before had the college ever seen such a gifted athlete, and he led BC to multiple National Championships. Even with his impressive college resume, Mayhem was not highly scouted by professional teams unfortunately, due to his family history and the fact that not many teams were in need of a Quarterback. Coming out of College Mayhem insisted that he remain a Quarterback, as he wanted the money and glory that go with the position at the professional level, but for certain teams he was willing to consider playing on the other side of the ball if needed. Despite the lack of interest in potential need to play a different position it didn't deter Mayhem from continuing to work hard throughout his proday tryouts, as he knew eventually he would find a home and exccel when called upon.

Matthew Mayhem spent his first season in the DSFL as the backup QB for the Kansas City Coyotes. Despite only seeing limited snaps, he did get into 12 games and threw for 176 yards on 12 of 17 passing in the regular season. He also passed for 1 Touchdown with no Interceptions as the backup for the Ultimini Champion Coyotes. Despite entering the playoffs not intending to see the field at all, Mayhem stepped up in the Championship game and managed to throw for two Touchdowns in the Coyotes victory over the Norlfolk Seawolves. The Ultimini Title was the teams second in as many seasons, and Mayhem is ready to rise to the occasion as he steps into a starting role as the signal caller for the Coyotes as they take aim at a third consecutive league title. Mayhem capped his successful first season by being drafted by the Orange County Otters of the ISFL, and while his future as a QB is uncertain, he is excited to show what he can do at the position in the upcoming season for his current team in Kansas City.
