Johnson Lovehammer (born July 20, 2031) is an American football Defensive Tackle who is currently listed as a prospect for the DSFL; and has yet to be drafted by either the DSFL or ISFL.
Early years
Johnson Lovehammer was born on July 20th, 2031 at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Orphaned from birth Johnson grew up in the foster system his whole youth. He found solace in sport, Johnson played Football, Baseball, Basketball, and ran track in high school. Lovehammer obtained a football scholarship enabling him to attend Roman Catholic High School situated in the center of the City of Brotherly Love. He helped lead the Cahillite's to two consecutive state championships his junior and senior years attending the school. It was in those games where he received most of his attention from college scouts.
College career
Lovehammer received many athletic scholarship from various schools throughout the country in both football, baseball, and basketball. His final shortlist contained teams such as the Penn State Nittany Lions, Pittsburgh Panthers, Michigan Wolverines, the Alabama Crimson Tide. However, not wishing to leave home, Johnson Lovehammer committed to Temple University; a move that stunned the college world.
Freshman Season
Johnson's freshman season was a productive one, committing fully to the gridiron Johnson was a fierce challenge for opposing offensive linemen. Know for excellent technique and uncommonly quick lateral movement Johnson Lovehammer made 35 tackles, to go along with 5 and 1/2 sacks his first year at the program. The Temple Owls posted a record of 9 and 3 that season and defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels in the Fenway Bowl.
Sophomore Season
A noticeable increase in production marked Johnsons sophomore season as he totaled more tackles, tackles for loss, sacks, forced fumbles, fumble recoveries, passes deflected, and also two safeties and he also managed to score his first touchdown since his senior year of high school. The Owls finished 8 and 4 that season, with an unfortunate loss in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Blazers. Johnson Lovehammer suffered a concussion in that game on a teammates missed tackle early in the first quarter.
Junior Season
His junior season was more of the same, increased production in just about every facet of the game for Johnson. It was also an especially special year for Johnson as he walked on for the Temple Owls basketball team. Primarily used for his big body, Johnson was a force on the boards averaging over 10 rebounds per minute, he was also excellent at drawing fouls do to his surprising quickness which often caught defenders off guard. Football however was still his main focus; as the team has an impressive season due to new coach Phil McCracken's impressive draft class. The team went 11 and 1 that season and won the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl against Army.
Senior Season
Lovehammer saved his best season for last, most impressively posting double digits sacks for the first time in his college career. His team once again went 11 and 1. The Bowl Season was unfortunately cancelled though because of the emergence of Covid-42.
