Early years
"Calvin Hobbes was brought up in your typical suburban area, first outside his home city Göteborg, but later his parents moved to Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Calvin had a wild imagination and he was often seen playing with his pet tiger who he insisted was alive and was the cause and reason for all the mischief he got up to.
His interest in football started early and prior to moving to the US he was the odd one out, in small football country Sweden, he often being asked why he enjoyed ""handegg"" so much instead of the more tradional Swedish sports ice hockey and football.
Once he had settled in the US he got to play for a real team and showed a real talent for running fast and catching the ball. He was often seen outside his house playing with his pet tiger and pretending he was playing in the International Simulation Football League. "
