Early years
"Suggs Upshar was born in Pristina, Kosovo in July 20, 2023, the son of Alexandra and Bernard Upshar. Son of a prominent Kosovar politician, Bernard Upshar was also noted for his accomplishments with the University of Prishtina soccer team. Alexandra and Bernard immigrated to the United States in 2015 to escape the political tension of Kosovo and the Balkan region in general.
After moving around a couple of times throughout the country, the Upshar family managed to establish themselves in Celebration, Florida. Suggs went on to attend Celebration High School, where he played soccer until his freshman year, when he was recruited to join his High School's football team and established himself as a starter as both wide receiver and safety. His lack of speed, size, and outstanding performance at the defensive side of the game led him to commit to safety, until he eventually changed again to cornerback, where he exceeded and broke school records for pass deflections and interceptions.
Despite great performances, Upshar's lack of football experience and size led him to receive few D1 scholarship offers. In 2041, he decided to commit to the University of Central Florida."
College career
"Despite being offered a full scholarship, Upshar was not guaranteed a starting spot, and was among the lowest players in the cornerback depth chart for most of his freshman season. His drive, commitment to improve, and on-field intelligence were noted as great assets and he impressed UCF's coaching staff. He climbed the depth chart throughout the season and, combined with injuries to starting defensive backs, Suggs started the season's final 3 games, including a Gasparilla Bowl victory over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. He impressed, averaging 3 pass deflections and 1 interception per game, including a game sealing pick six in the Gasparilla Bowl.
After garnering attention from DSFL teams, Upshar decided to forgo his sophomore season at UCF and declare for the 2043 DSFL Draft."
